Something that bugged me in Origins is how small your ears were as an elf compared to other elves in the game. Did anyone else ever notice? Your custom made elf character's ears are practically just human ears with slightly longer points compared to other elves. Notice how all these elves ears have the "knife" shape that the racist slang is about.

Now compare it to the elf we make.

What the hell is that? That's not a knife shape. Hell, it's just a human ear with a point on the top.

While it was fun roleplaying my elf to have a major self esteem issue about her ear size and being embarrassed by them to the point of keeping them covered up by her hair so other elves wouldn't make fun of her, I don't want to have to do this again. So are the custom elves we make going to have proper elven ears this time?

Apparently it was to avoid helmet clipping.

Didn't stop me from modding on regular elf ears anyway. :S

So that's the reason? I truly thought it was just laziness and making your elf's head stick closer to the head maps of the other races. Doesn't even make sense if you're right, Zevran's are what they should look like and I've never seen his ears clip through a helmet.

Still, I want my elf having natural looking elf ears this time instead of being a walking caricature for why Dalish called my city elf a flat ear.

In the QA they said look at Sera's ears.

I would like my elf Inquisitor to have long ears, but it's not really that big of a deal to me.

I don't wear helmets anyway. I would sacrifice the armor set bonus by not wearing a helmet just to see my character's face.

I sure hope so, it'll make them more exotic looking, however they did say to look at Sera's ears which look amazing so I'm optimistic.

I just hated how I couldn't even pick most haircuts on male elves without the hair and ears clipping all over the place. The size of the ears didn't matter.

I hope we can at least customize the size. it irked me so much when I wore the shoulder length hair and I couldn't see my ears ugh.

Whereas I intentionally did that with my elves so I didn't have to see how stupid they looked compared to every other elf in the game.

I want the most obnoxiously big "knife ears" ever. It always made me giggle when people magically knew my PC was an elf even though her ears were totally covered. Pfffft. Why couldn't she just be a small human? :P

Ears are distinguishable yes, but also facial bone structure and such were identifers as well for elves, they don't mention it hardly at all and its too technical on a fantasy of someone's creations. So, I wont argue that, it was stated in some elvish lores in other fantasy but not all mention that the jawbone isn't supposed to be squared off like most humans. As the other common feature besides ears, but doesn't get pointed out or shown in most cases. But its too technical as I said on a fantasy, if there were real elven bones, I'd compare them. :)  Oh wait, hobbits are true, so elves have to be now?  (news report on finding skeletons of a human tribe that were short and had hairy feet.)

I honestly just feel as long as the ears aren't round like humans, then I'm fine with it, they never bothered me as I didn't stare at the ears much.

No , the ears are long enough. We don't need Warcraft Elf style of ears lol.
