I'm in exactly the same boat as you.  Finished on 59 after my second playthrough after doing EVERYTHING and getting it just how I wanted it for ME2.

I'm not that fussed though, apparently the jump in bonuses (for ME2) from 59 to 60 isn't that much.

And does someone know what extra we get if we import lvl 60 char?

I did EVERYTHING on my second playthrough and i really dont feel like playing a third time... Obviously i wouldve gotten 60 by now if i had done everything on my first playthrough but little did i know that after a certain point i cant do the side quests anymore.

Same here, I'm working on the second play through and will likely end at 58 or 59 instead of 60. I have to agree that 60 should be relatively easy to hit on second play through.

the possibility of hitting lvvl 60 on two playthroughs is pretty easy i did it with my adept on hardcore the both times and in the run i got the last 4 ally achievements so its not that difficult you juat have to do every quest and dialogue thingy but its pretty achievable. . as for importing a lvl 60 character well that isn't possible you get a bonus depending on the level you cleared your character with . .. so if you have a lvl 60 soldier you'll get a bigger bonus than a lvl 30 on but as to getting soemthing extra for a lvl 60 as in items or a reward besides the biggest bonus no there isn't

Yay I did it! 

Completed Virimire then went to pick Liara up and just before got to the first tunnel en route, hit 60 by killing athe Colossus that is parked outside it. I even took an XP hit on that kill as only needed 418xp at the time to get 60 hehe

So plain sailing through Ilos and the final battle now and I'll be all set for Friday

I'm lvl 57, picked up Liara, did BDtS, no sidequests yet.

Any idea how many sidequests I need to do to hit 60? I'm doing my 3rd playthrough in 3,5 week, I'm kind of fed up, but I want this freaking 60!

Sidequests I want to skip: Gathering the materials, insignia's and scan the keepers.

Other's I don't mind too much. Also, which are recommendable (aka, have alot of geth/mercenaries to kill)

The highest I got in one play through is level 53. The lowest was 48 and I thought I get to 60 but end up at 59 and done just about everything.

Other than Liara is that the only 'main mission' you've done?

If it is, I'd say you have a good chance.

Sidequests to do would be Geth Incursions, lots of Geth and some of the big ones for big xp. Even Colossus can be killed on foot and if got good sniper skills you can pretty much do it cheesy by hiding behind a hill and getting it so you can just get part of their armor visible then pop away at them with no comeback. Same tactic really applies to all the big hits. Hostile Takeover - given by Helena Blake in the Citadel is understandably good.

In theory at I think if you haven't done any of the other main quests and you are 57 you should be able to get to 60 with just those. On Noveria it is possible to slaughter all the Rachni that come out in the Hot Labs after you set the nuke timer off. I didn't think this was possible till I tried it on this playthrough rather than just running through them all. Obviously the route to those labs is a big xp fest with all the turrets and geth on route. Same with virimire, Feros even tho it gives a bit of a paragon hit (although obviously good if playing paragon) doing all the sidequests before going across the skyway helps.

Pffff, 59 and about 40-45k done. 155-160k to go.

Altho it's nice to do some sidequests I didn't do before, it's just getting a bloody grind now, as this is the 3rd time in 2 weeks I'm doing the story, some parts I did like 3 days ago on my adept (getting a femshep ready for import aswell with the complete opposite choices of my male shep and main char)

I'll finish him when I've finished Mass Effect 2, which releases tomorrow (well in 6 hours or something, gogo insomnia) thanks to my game supplier delivering 1 day earlier ^^
