Interesting Mike Laidlaw says this a next gen game considering its on last gen, which is nearly a decade old hardware.

I think he just meant next generation of Bioware games. Not "on next gen consoles".
I'm talking about the godawful equipment slots; Only head and chest. That's a huge strike in my book.
Didn't notice that. Thought you meant the layout. That is rather lame, yes. Easy to get rich fast again, then. 50 percent less to spend money on.
I don't like it much as well. I doubt at this point is something that will change. Hope to be wrong though.
I totally just noticed that now that I'm watching it in depth and pausing at almost every screen. This saddens me because I thought we were gonna get more options to mix and match armor pieces like in DAO becuase that was some of the stuff they showed at previous conferences where you could mix and match armor pieces to come up with hybrid builds, like Cassandra (in the little presentation) had like a mix of armed pauldrons but with sleek robes and what not. I thought the equipment system would become even more expansive but now it seems streamlined. However, this is just from a small glance, we'll have to wait until they release more info on how the inventory and equipment system works in game. Either way, the video keeps getting me more excited and I can't wait for part 2 and I'm optomistic they might release it today since it's still pretty early in the day xD Which means Dorian's voice here we come!

Rotten combat for 2 handed style. Summoning rocks is just lame. Won't use it in the game.
"I can't fly you daft ******"
Oh Sera, I already love you.
Think of the mayhem, mayyhemm...
I thought Sera was a female-only romance?
Why then does she refer to being married to a guy?
edit - nm that's not Sera (the woman sitting on the rock, I thought it was).

Married to Lesbomancy I suppose
I thought Sera was a female-only romance?
Why then does she refer to being married to a guy?
When does she do that?
Christ almighty the streamlined the inventory. Why?
Because there person have different taste and opinions. And there is a lot of people like me who don't have problem what in DA2 we can't change companions armour. Story and characters is most important part. And for me armour management is least important part of game. Just give me items who states is based on level of character and I pick who looks best.

You can't be married to guy and be lesbian at the same time? Celene I is lesbian and was planing to marry Cailan Theirin.
I thought Sera was a female-only romance?
Why then does she refer to being married to a guy?
Wait, what?
She never said that...
I think we shouldn't get our knickers in a twist over something that we literally glanced over, there might be more to it than we see. Also when does Sera say anything about marrying? I only recall banter involving Bull wanting to throw her, Vivienne saying she hopes they survive and Sera exclaiming how she's actually alive.

--->The sound quality of that mount
--->The environmental reactivity against the abilities.
--->The fluidity and responsiveness of the camera

Are you referring to the elf that gives the Inquisitor a quest involving templars? Because that's definitely not Sera. ![]()
Man, at the end that's the weeniest arrow release sound I've ever heard. It sounds like a bird chirping.
Hey all,
To clear things up. A suite of armor can be modified with separate boots and gloves in our crafting system, that's why you see only one slot, it's all combined. The same goes for weapons where you can change the hilt, blade etc. We'll go into crafting and loot in a lot more depth later on.
Are you referring to the elf that gives the Inquisitor a quest involving templars? Because that's definitely not Sera.
And yeah, they could also be referring to a side character they passed by? In any case, I definitely wouldn't recall Sera saying anything about Marriage, I would've heard it since her voice is so noticeable (aka loud, obnoxious and absolutely adorkable).
This. Damn, soooo looking forward to this game. ![]()
anyone else pause the video for 5 minutes on each skill tree to try and find out what skills were what? ![]()
I'm hoping that isn't the PC UI. And please can we see an entire combat from the overhead tactical view?
It is the PC UI if you use controllers on the PC. I'm guessing this is the same build as they used during E3, which was an PC build.

Do not worry my friend! This is indeed played on a PC however, they're playing with a controller. You can definitely play overhead tactical view with a more mouse and keyboard friendly UI ala Origins throughout the entire game and can even remain in that mode and travel ala Origins. So yeah don't worry. I'm sure they're going for a more controller action RPG showcasing since that's the demographic of mainstream gamers are into.

Yes! I was a little interested on how Spirit was named. It seemed similar but at the same time very different. It looked like they mixed the traditional spirit tree with the arcane tree and a tiny weensie bit of Creation. I'm really excited on how healing magic will work in DAI since i'm planning on playing an elven mage.
To those grumbling about the equipment slots:
According to devs, gloves/boots/etc. still exist, they're applied to the chest piece in crafting, like upgrades. No word on whether that means they appear visually though.
That's exactly how I feel right now. The game looks marvelous. And you can shot from a bow while walking?? *faints*
Someone give me a time machine so I can time travel to October when DAI will be available.
Also poor Dragon Lady - she was just trying to protect her babies ![]()
