The voice actor for the female qunari-mage doesn't suit her imo, she sounds too soft.
One reason why this game needs a pitch slider, it was like watching the toughest guy in the room with a high pitch voice lol

They said int he Q&A that they didn't have voicefx/pitch thingiemaboobs for CC at the moment, but that could change if they wanted to implement, which I think they should. Personally my ideal would be if within each of the four voices, there were let's say, three options for that voice. One pitched lower, one regular, and one pitched a little higher. For all of the voices. These pitched choices are reasonably pitched and sound legit and don't sound robotic ala Saint's Row.
Dragon's Dogma did this and it worked out generally fine, however though the main character did not speak, the battle cries sounded legit, some of the voices. So I hope Bioware looks into doing this becuase it would help personalize our characters that much more. I mean, I want to make my ElfQuisitor sound a little more lighter pitched, maybe a baritenor, but both voices for Male seem to be uber manly as it is so I'm kinda pessimistic. One of the reasons why i didn't like ME or DA2 becuase I usually defaulted on the main characters because the default look fitted the voice the best. Everytime I did a design I wanted the voice would come out weird out of the face I had created.

This.
if they can't do or don't want to do an actual slider, maybe they can just have a couple of set pitches we can choose from for each voice.. normal pitch, one a bit higher and one a bit lower.

Overall I liked the official presentation showing, but I do have two fairly large complaints. One isn't actually related to DA:I though.
First complaint, the resolution of the video, even at 1080p is fairly poor, Compression or upload issues? Very pixelated and somewhat irritating.
Second, and by far the more serious complaint, Iron Bull's AI seems to be pretty bad. I don't know if it's just a melee pathfinding thing, but he can't seem to find a way to get in and attack the Dragon, and occasionally he just kind of sits around doing nothing on other battles. This is fairly consistent with what I saw in other E3 snippets, official and unofficial.
Now for some praise to mitigate that.
First off, Mage gameplay looks fantastic, So many games are content to let mage be the Microsoft Excel of gameplay. Pick spell, cast spell. The combination of Magic Combos, great VFX and embellishing animations make Mage gameplay look extremely enticing.
Second, the Hit-boxes, particularly on the Dragon are quite tight and precise. With even a small gap resulting in a total whiff by Iron Bulls Greataxe, conversely, another swing catches a piece of the dragon at the very end of the arc resulting in a contact. This coming off Skyrim's dragon Hitbox where you basically have an entire cell of blank space which you can swing at and still make contact.
"Wedge up somethin' fierce."
Impressive NPC count in Redcliffe. Additionally, battles happen on the road which the Inquisitor casually strolls by, to busy lookin snazzy to give even a single f**k. The NPCs are content to murder each other as long as the Inquisitor doesn't get any closer.
Running animations. While I'm sure most people don't consider this a big deal, remembering Dragon Age: Origins running animation, that had everyone moving as if they were fatally constipated when weapons were drawn made me reflect on how much better DA:I's movement animations are.
Great points, just noticed the blockyness when I watched the vid in full screen.
On the flip side, I also do like the way the magic spells (ice and fire balls) follow the targets albeit not exactly like missiles with infinite propulsion.

Ikr the released a season pass, and all dlc for the game before it was even released. Come to think of it, that's probably why it was delayed..

Also, if you listen closely in the dwarf gameplay when hes chatting to the woman about the ring, it sounds nothing like a dwarf (to me anyway)

+ the I don't really like the open world Dick Measuring Contest that has swept up the AAA Scene.
"Our open world is 50 times bigger than the last game!"
"MGS5 200 times bigger than ground zero's!"
"Witcher 3 is 64 square kilometre's!"
I still have high expectations for DA:I. But seeing as it's Bioware's first openish world game since Baulders Gate I do think there will be a few rough spots.
They shouldn't even try, there's already a game that is going to be the champion on that one. This game will have the biggest freaking game world you've ever seen in your life. This is the system seller of Wii U to me. Look at this game's environments and animals and try to tell me you don't want it... I'll call you a liar.

Well... Yeah? He mentioned that he's tired of companies trying to 1-up each other on world size, and I pointed to a game that is going to trounce any other game in history so far in that department.
I think that Xenoblade game may just be more hyped then DAI for me.

There is nothing to be concerned about. Bioware has mentioned since E3 they are mainly squashing bugs and polishing the game and they are no longer adding completely new features.
(And as to Xenoblade, I don't think it looks remotely impressive. The graphics look rather outdated and rather mundane.)

I don't mind the voices for Qunari pc's. Not every Qunari needs to have a really deep voice imo. If I recall correctly, the voice of Maraas wasn't so deep. And we've never heard Qunari women before so...

You're caring too much about the textures and not enough about a rich and gigantic world of life that has more draw distance than any game I've ever seen with monsters that are literally hundreds of feet tall. The environments are amazing. Yes the character models are a bit lacking, but sacrifices always have to be made with wide open worlds. And with a world that big... If you expected amazing textures and graphics when it has a world that large with animals that large and a draw distance that impressive, you don't understand how development works. The artstyle and and how vibrant it is should overrule anything about the lacking character models.
You can't find another game out there that is that good looking with a world that gigantic and vast in scope, because it doesn't exist.
