If this is final product i be real unhappy, why do they mess with things an take things away that ppl want, has anyone actually ever complained "hey this equipping of equipment in a rpg is soo damn annoying please remove it" why in hell do they feel the need to mess about with it an give poor imitations

IS it so damn hard to just leave it the frack alone, let me equip a chest, belt, hands, feet and legs

Actually people did complain about that. Combat was a complaint too. People requested a win combat button.

I'm not going to lose my **** just yet I mean they haven't told us much about armor other than that you can craft it. I would wait before jumping to any conclusions if I were you guys.

Don't see the point of removing gloves and boots.

Why change something that isn't broken?

Bioware game design decisions in a nutshell.

Never liked crafting in games. I hope I am not forced to do it constantly.

Could be. But a simple backpack cost more than a good armour in the previous games, so I won't hold my breath.

...not really? The heavy chainmail plate or whatever it was sold at Ostagar, which isn't exactly the best, cost a lot more then a backpacks.

Its true. Wasn't a huge roar about it, though, but I did see it pop up.

We've still got 7/8 slots to play with.

I guess It makes creating outfits easier, because they don't have to accomodate various different boots and gloves

That would be one of the exceptions, not the norm.

Perhaps the panic would be reduced if everyone remembers that this was a demo in Alpha or Beta. Maybe the guantlets and boots are being improved, and were not available at the time of filming? Or that Companions have less slots than the Inquisitor due to set bonuses, models, etc?

Not a concern to me....

That's extremely wishful thinking, I see no evidence of this being the case.

The game seems to have tons of replay vallue, though. And exploration is back too. All in all, the slots arn't that big of a concern. Just a normal sized one :)

You know one of you could always just tweet the devs they seem to be in a rather generous mood at the moment so go for it.

Of the good armours, that was the one who cost less. Do. I have to find how much good armour cost compared to backpacks?

I suspect an excuse somewhere along of the lines of "clipping, crafting, companion outfits."

I personally wouldn't mind if we could change the way we design the boots/gloves when crafting an outfit; but if we're only allowed to design the way the chest looks and the rest follows suit, I will not be pleased.

There were no gloves or boot slots in DA2 for Followers, if I recall correctly. Yet Hawke had them.

Again, I see no need to be upset, as I have no plans on directly playing the Companions; only the Inquisitor.

Are you honestly saying that a standard chainmail could\should cost less than a standard backpack?

Yes. And in DA2 the player didn't have to worry about money from early act 2 and out, because of this.

If that were the case it would probably be there, in the UI.

??? You couldn't change armor at ALL for followers in DA ][, remember?

We see the protagonist's equipment screen

Upgrading inventory space is always somewhat expensive in these types of games.  In an economy where a Deep Road expedition buy on is 50g and 1 slave is 100g; you can't expect much logic.

That picture was a qunari female. Unless I misjudged something with the Iron Bull, he's a male. The only female qunari is the inquisitor.

I did on my first campaign. In latter ones, I used the console to add gold when desired, as I dislike Shopping Mall runs in games. If this were a MMO, then I might be concerned about economics, money sinks, and game balance, but in a solo game, it is of little to no consequence for me.
