A bit of a head scratcher.

As part of my new races we discovered a bug.  Vampires can change their appearance between their human aspect and their "dark" aspect.  Basically an appearance change between the human model and the full vampire model.

Problem is, unless you have human head "1", the vamp model fails to display, so guessing its trying to create the vamp model with head number X and failing.

We have more or less the same feature for Lycanthropes (wolf, rat) but they do not suffer the same problem.

So, i'm guessing its something to do with the models themselves (whether they are set to be able to have different heads) or its something in appearance.2da

If its the former, i guess i'm screwed unless someone knows a simple fix for this.  If its the latter - well, anyone got any ideas? I tried changing the ModelType setting to S (simple) but that didn't help.

It's the model, rather than the 2DA. Some creature models don't have separate heads (they're part of the same model as the body), so the head number doesn't matter to them.

Vampires use the human skeleton and animations, so it looks like they've been set up with separate heads like the player models, even though they only have one head option. You could clone the male and female vampire heads as many times as there are human head variants. That way no matter what head number the player is using, the vampire equivalent will always show up (even though they'll all be identical).

Ouch! That's lots of additional models though... annoying solution.

But thanks for the answer!

Ouch! Close to 50 human heads for both male/female on our server.  That's a lot of cloning to be done.... >.<

Tried it. Didn't work. :(

Going with Polymorph effect instead.
