That seems a massive waste of a perfectly good slave race
Exactly. They should convert to the Qun. The Qun does not watse Resources.

Come now it's simple the Mages gotta go and elves stay as when I played a mage in DAII I saw that Bioware has already made their choice as *spoilers*
Every mage you meet is batshit insane and inclined to evil: First Mage companions you meet:
Merrill the naive "let's be friends with demons and blood magic is safe" party member
Anders the angry " I let a spirit possess me but accidentally turned them into a demon oops" member.
Then other NPC's: Templar Thrask's sweet daughter who became a demon just as you arrived to save her.
Your mother is brutally murdered and her head is cut off to be put on a blood mages sex toy who also happens to be penpals with that nice fellow Orsino
Who understandably becomes a giant flesh golem whether you help mages or not because hey why not?
Mages from Starkhaven who greet you with hundreds of skeletons and then beg you to help their poor defenseless selves and then ****** about you not holding their hands and taking them away from the templars despite you lying or killing to help them escape. Then later kidnapping your brother who makes the worst hostage ever as he is a pain. Attacking you and turning into a demon because they are crap at escaping.
Mages randomly attacking you saying you are there to kill them for Meredith after helping them numerous times and having the leader of the underground movement with you (and a blood mage Dalish).
Ah man as a mage the only way I could help any innocent mages was joining templars and sparing the ones in the gallows but everywhere else mages prove they are stupid ignorant children that turn into demons or become blood mages if you so much as raise your voice to them! The only mage I trusted in Kirkwall was Hawke!
Sorry for the rant I just remembered how little sense a lot of DAII made but Bioware was clearly against mages as 95% of mages in DAII were evil or too stupid to have that much power!

Why do mages and elves have to fight over the shems' and the muggles' favor?
We'll Liberate Ourselves

So you are in favor of the Qunari the ![]()
I wanna help both. Evil mages and evil elves can all go to hell, but the good ones on both sides, who are as deserving of freedom as anyone else, don't have someone strong to defend them, and that shall be moi.

Wynne was pretty nice. And Bethany was all sunshine and daffodils.

I agree that Dragon Age Origins had a much more balanced view of mages and as for Bethany I never really used her as once you go mage you never go back
Wish I could've had Bethany instead of Carver as I hate him
Other than her I really didn't like Hawke's family and I felt more connceted to the Cousland family from the human noble origin than the Hawkes ![]()

Funny - I didn't like Bethany, at all. She needed a constant nanny to keep her out of the Circle. Too bad mom wasn't up to snuff. However, I agree on the Couslands - their family situation resonated a lot more with me.

I wonder if any of the Inquisitor origins have family? Proably the noble line again. One mistake they made was making the mom blame you for your siblings death even though you had no power over it and Bioware made the choice not us
that and not being able to stop the serial killer despite the earlier quest dealing with him as letting the blood mage live shouldve let us reach her in time. But hey didn't like her anyway and they didn't deal with the aftermath so weel as you had to deal with the qunari. Btw does anyone know are the backgrounds going to be like Origins with a whole starter quest for them or just some quests and interactions throughout the game?

It's Americaball. One of many nationalballs in the Polandball continuity.

I believe it's been said that regardless of your race or class you will all start in the same place ![]()
Why are you posting this in every thread regarding elves?

To discern the transmundane
I hope it is a choice between one or the other. It's akin to a flip toss for me, though I am invested in both their fates. A third option will be a candidate for main run status.
I just want to see what I really think when the sh*t hits the fan.
It doesn't matter, everyone will knell before the Inquisition.
I didn't expect that coming.
I wonder if there is going to be a third option (**** both of you, rise up my casteless brothers!) or if this is going to be one or the other.
If it is the latter, I hope you can change sides at some point, kind of like with Bhelen/Harrowmont. Of course, I don't imagine most characters caring so much for betrayal, so there's that.
Shame the templars declared it, to be sure.
Funny, last time I checked, Lambert annulled the contract because the Divine helped mages who killed templars and one of them killed a mage to frame another mage. Yes the mages are innocent, the templars are to blame. ![]()

The mages seceded from the Chantry; the Chantry is the only organization that had a casus belli, and they didn't use it. The templars as an independent organization had nothing of the sort against the mages and attacked unprovoked anyway. And the Divine had only done what you mentioned because the templars had gone out of control; Lambert was using the response to his own overreaching as an excuse to overreach even more.
Is it wrong that I would buy a ticket to this fight, just to see the two sides beat eachother to a bloody pulp?

A mage was killed, Lambert had a right to arrest the person that was guilty(who was framed, by a mage so fighting would happen) mages then decided to not listen, fights happen.
But go on, act like the mages didn't do anything to cause the war, it's always the templars fault.

It is, in fact, purely the templars' fault, because the templars didn't even exist as an independent organization until their secession. And amusingly, the Chantry has exactly the same right to declare war on them as they do on the mages.
