According to Mike Laidlaw in an interview with Eurogamer, companions will leave the party if approval ratings are too low, similar to Dragon age: Origins, and it is possible to only have one companion remaining in the end. :P  And we should just have option fill our party with random solder #327 I don't see problem why we can't have rogue and mage solder.

And if the resources were the deciding  factor in winning war ether way her people are going die . Besides that is just one group "needs of the many vs needs of a few"

Sera character. Sera doesn't care about later she care about now, she see innocent people suffer, she must help them now and think about later, then later comes.

That is much one play thru when I would try to be vile as possible. Otherwise, most of the time I wont try getting rid of anyone. Especially my first play through, which I find I normally make balances between both.

Well that is something I guess.  It is just when I roleplay ruthless I don't want compantions getting upset and  leaving "he killed all chickens in Thedas and I love me a chicken sandwich, Im out of here!!" lol
I mean come on in most these games it is a world ending event and you are sweating the small stuff!

The interesting thing will be how huge and how many incidents are needed before a companion has had enough. An example could be if you side solely with the templar order and thus goes against the mages circle. Obviously this will annoy Vivienne, but question is if that one situation is enough for her to leave / attack you. A situation like that can be compared with Fenris or Merrill attacking you in the end of DA2, where it only took that single situation to trigger their choice (unless you had them above a certain amount of loyalty or rivalry)

Am i the only one who was REALLY pleased by this?

You are not.

The silly Rivalry mechanic was a decent enough concept, but it actively encouraged you to treat anyone who you disagreed with (and therefore, would gain some rivalry points with during any given encounter) like a worthless piece of slime, insulting and berating everything about them to max out their Rivalry.

To the OP... if you really want to play "do anything it takes to succeed" then you'd realize - sometimes that "anything" is grinning and being nice when every fiber of your being wants to call someone a moron and slap them across the face.

It sounds like, instead, you want to act with total impunity without regard of how you interact with people. Which is fine... but realize that the rest of the world may not be gung-ho about you doing so.
