Look at the top of the web page.

See how it says "Bioware Social Network" and not "Dragon Age Social Network"?

Go through some of your personal settings and see how you can change what Community you are part of - you are defaulted as Bioware Community, not Dragon Age Player (though you can switch it.)

You can even switch the background theme to the network for your viewing. Mine is currently set to Mass Effect 2.

Game developers tend to put all their games in one forum site, not create separate forum sites for each game.

Eh, most of my friends didn't like Mass Effect.

The story is super short, the actual main quest is only twelve or so hours total, compared to most of the other Bioware games out there, the companions switch personalities on a regular basis, they removed good side quests in exchange for more useless copy pasted planets, and the scanning system, the fact the story doesn't flow very well at all, the bad combat, really I could go on.

The thing that really got me where Liara and Ashley, after literally one conversation, both are ready to take a ride on Shepards space cannon, and make this very evident, even if you were not trying to romance them, and just were somewhat nice to them, it really ruined my immersion in my game.

With that said, yeah, this is the Bioware forums, they can do whatever they like.

Mass Effect... I didn't much like on release. The generic planets and structures, the dull companions, and the sheer bloody repetitiveness of half the side-quests - Go to thirty odd near-identical planets and scan for minerals... GAAARGHH! Then I broke a minor side quest and walked away.

Went back to it last week as a way to avoid cleaning out my hard-drive (I've files here dating back nearly twenty-years...) and... It was more entertaining than I remember. Still as repetitive as I remembered, but that didn't grate so much - likely because I knew what to expect. Played all the way through. Did all the side-quests et all and completed it in 35-hours. So yeah, its pretty short compared with Bio's other games.

Still not a game I'll dig out often in the future, but after Mass Effect 3 is out I'll probably attempt a run through all three using the same character.

AshedMan got it right. This is the BioWare Social Network, not the Dragon Age Social Network. Mass Effect, like Dragon Age, has its own set of game-specific forums in which to discuss their respective games, but the Off-Topic forum is, well, for discussing things outside the games. Whether you like Mass Effect or not, whether you like Dragon Age or not, we are all one community, so please, let's be excellent to each other. Thank you.

ENd of line.
