Bioware, I don't know & idc why you put animal extinction in DAI, but know this. For exp, I will kill every hostile in every entire location.

Gotta say BSN. I'm weirdly surprised. From always crowing for more people of various orientations an races and wanting the female cast member to be just as compelling as the male cast, I find it odd no one has a problem with driving animals to extinction....a weird observation..

That's the commentary on this; that driving the animals to extinction in the game is the counter to the "kill everything it'll come back lololol" most games have.

Whether it's a dragon or a squirrel, if it attacks me it dies.

The Battle of the Screaming Plains x3259078?

Is this a clever and subtle reference to the Battle of the Silent Plains or a funny coincidence?

My world will have no giants, animals, dragons, and very few people left if they all grant XP.

"You can't kill this deer! Its the last one left in Orlais! You already eradicated them in Ferelden!"

"... But 5xp..."

So if animals (prey animals, like nugs, deer, whatever) are not marked as hostile, and don't net any xp, do they get to live in your game, OP?

Yes, yes they will.

If the animal does not trouble me, it gets to live, regardless of XP.

In AC IV I found it ludicrous to have to kill - two - Humpback Whales in order to fashion a small belt strap to hold a pistol (how much whale does it take?). I'm not squeamish at slaughtering pixels but the concept was pointless.

I shall be playing as a demon skewering but also eco-friendly Inquisitor.

I screwed up and meant the Battle of the Squealing Plains, which in itself is likely a reference to that:

Kirkwall declared the common nug a noxious vermin in 5:20 Exalted over fears that the animals carried the Blight. The extermination became known as the Battle of Squealing Plains. It is not spoken of in polite company.

I would have typed that exact comment right this moment had you not beat me to it.

My evil Inquisitor is sure to eradicate all Nugs, if only to annoy Leliana. Should have stayed dead, now it's Schmooples that has to suffer for it.

Really I just hope hunting is more like AC3/RDR and less AC4.  I like getting all the stuff and there being a use for it, instead of you got one thing and the rest was really pointless, congrats.

Violence and hamburgers? This guy is a true AMERICA :D

When I saw the Inquisitor in the demo run into the bear, it made me a bit nervous. I don't want to accidentally an entire species on a map. But I love to explore, so I'm bound to run into hostile beasties.
