Let's see I've

 

*ran a SnS warden

* mage elf warden

* dagger dwarf rouge

* th dwarf noble

* dw city elf

 

Now I've finally gotten to playing an archer elf, but I heard on the console version at least...it's bugged?

 

Or am I wrong?

 

I just need a gear check.....

Only bug I know of console is the one with Shale's archer mode. The length of the mode makes it impractical on console.

Some bows require greater Dex, like the Witch Hunt one for 34 Dex. Dex also increases bow damage, so increasing it greater than 34 is a option.

I recommend DEX over Cunning personally; seems better for options in Awakenings. And I prefer the versatility of Rogue over a Warrior, but that is me.

well it depends on your build:

 

If you aim for the "bullet-per-head" build i suggest to focus your main in cunning and secondaries on both dex and will(worked for Lelianna, never had any warden archer) if you want the Varric Bard Type who just explodes in arrows over and over I suggest you to focus on dex (because it guaranties more hits at rapid shot) and keep cunning as secondary
