This is a tough one. I would love for her to be one of the romancable non-party-characters, but I doubt that they'll do that. Considering she is a magic expert, I think that you will bring her in at the behest of someone (Lelliana, Morrigan, Solas), to help research the Fade and you will probably need to locate her somewhere in the Fereldan Mage Tower while fighting off Templars.

You realize that their is a Dagna thread, yes? Anyway Dagna is an Artificer, a specialization that deals with traps. I imagine that Dagna will make traps and grenades for the party to use in the field, magical traps.

she's labeled as an Artificer, and since she's somewhat of an expert (as close as a dwarf can get to being one) on magic.... maybe she.. i don't know, i find it very hard to put those two things together so it'd be useful to the Inquisition. The only thing i can think of is she invents magical constructs with the help of some mages or finds "useful" applications for magic.
