Do you think Fenris will return?

Or something.
So is Gideon Emery returning as Fenris, or is this trolling, and Gideon Emery will be only a new character, like John Curry.

I've heard Gideon Emery may be returning, but I have't heard anything about Fenris. My guess is it'll be the same case as John Curry where Mr. Emery voices someone new.

If we do run into Fenris, I'll be sure to bring Dorian along. I'm sure they'll get along swimmingly.

meh, i understood his character, but he really got me mad sometimes, refusing to accept that not all mages were bad (outside of hawke if you friended him on facebook, i mean went down friendship path). As for his return, no i dont think he will this time, but im not against him popping up if it makes sense (da2 cameos so bad (sandal and bodhan excluded) those really broke up the story for me.)

This is the exact wording:
Q: Will we see Fenris make a return or at least the voice actor (Gideon Emery).
A: You may indeed see Gideon Emery again. (MD)

Back when we were told we would possibly be visiting Tevinter, I thought seeing a re-slaved Fenris could have been possible. Now, however, don't see too much of a reason for him to pop up at all (save for "mages are bad. Will fight mages")

It's not like he's a fan of demons either. Why wouldn't he want to fight them? Even if they didn't have preexisting bias against demons, the demons are threatening everybody.

Wished Hawke had better refutes.
Fenris - What good has Magic ever done for anyone?
Hawke - Well, my father and mother wouldn't have met if it wasn't for Magic so...
Fenris - Fair point.

I'm happy to hear that Gideon Emery will be back! I gotta say though, he's got SUCH a distinctive voice, it'll be hard to hear anyone but Fenris unless he modifies his voice acting quite a bit.

I was way off.
This makes me worried about Fenris but confused as to why he wouldn't deny it. It doesn't seem like a cameo has to be too secret.
But maybe he didn't want to deny too many cameos, since he already admitted to no Zevran or shale that day a third would be bad.

Oh i'm not saying he WOULDN'T be fighting them. I just don't see why he should make an appearance. Seems like it'd just be a passing thing, if he did, like;
*run around corner. See Fenris slashing up a demon*
"oh, um, hello"
"Hi"
"So..."
"I'm killing demons"
"Why yes you are"
"Bye"
*Fenris leaves*

Out of all the companions from DA2, I'd put Fenris near the bottom of the list of likely cameos. He may have his vendetta against the mages, but DA:I is placing a lot of importance on meeting people in power. I don't really imagine Fenris as a leader or anything. At most I think he'd be a foot-soldier or a lone ranger type who hunts mages all on his own.
Or maybe he's still with Hawke if romanced. Who knows.

It might just be me but the da:2 companions stories just don't feel done.
especially Fenris, Sebastian, and Bethany/Carver

Fenris Fenris The only time his character always Annoy me
was on one of his Side mission I give my word to a woman if she spoke, I will let her live and he killed her and I was angry that the game did not give me the option to punch him and say never, and I mean never break my word

Gideon Emery tends to be in a lot. I wouldn't take him being confirmed as definite Fenris confirmation.
Though they didn't give a flat out no like they did Zevran.

Wished Hawke had better refutes.
Fenris - What good has Magic ever done for anyone?
Hawke - Well, my father and mother wouldn't have met if it wasn't for Magic so...
Fenris - Fair point.
I actually liked how Hawke just stared at him because when Fenris yelled at my Hawke "What has magic touch that it hasn't destroyed" He just stared at Fenris with a bemused expression and it was like "****** just crossed the line" But it's okay they had angry sex and everything was okay!
And as much as I fricking love Fenris *hellolookatmyicon* and trust me I'm a Fenris flipping fanboy and I adore Gideon Emery *who'sjustashotirl* I'm positive that Fenris isn't returning. But I'm positive that Gideon is returning in some shape or form. He's voiced various NPC's in DAO and usually voices random NPC's in these types of games.
I don't believe it'll be Fenris because he doesn't really have a "point" being in DAI, especially if he romanced my Hawke, which he did, in Varric's story, he's supposed to be off with him adventuring or wahtever after the ending of DA2. As much as I'd like to see him in Frostbite Glory, oh maker...
However, they did not say no like they did to Zevran. Zevran was just "nope" from the getgo, but they were a little more ambiguous with their answer... btu that might be just wishful thinking, as is everything a dev says that is ambiguous.

Well, they said Zev won't be there. Saying, "Fenris may return" means a yes to me in certain circumstances of previous games.
Well the thing is, they didn't explicitly said "Fenris may return" they said "You may see Gideon Emery again" who's known for voicing a misc amount of NPC's in DAO and various other games due to his range in accents. He also played Balthier the leading man in Final Fantasy XII, unrelated but necessary none the less *_* I'm trying not to be too optomistic because I'll be too sad if he isn't returning as Fenris but if he is then I'll be super happy since I wouldn't be optomistic about it 8D

Considering the inclusion of Venatori as minions of Tevinter, I can't help but think that we'll be butting heads with the Tevinter Imperium quite frequently.
I wouldn't be surprised if Fenris helps us out on the odd occasion, or perhaps we come across him already killing Venatori. Alternatively, if he was sold back to Danarius in the previous playthrough, perhaps we might find a miniature boss fight instead of an ally?

So, uh. Physically, no.
Also, Slave Fenris boss battle? OMG YES. That is an awesome possibility.

Gideon Emery has been voicing stuff in BW games since like... forever. Just the fact that they didn't outright say no like they did with Zev (brb sobing) makes me optimistic about it.

Omfg I love you *holds* i was sad about the Zev news too
But yes! I am optomistic becuase they most definitely did not outright say that he wans't returning, just stating that we'd see some GIdeon in our future.... which please and thank you. So much want for Gideon ;_;
Also I forgot that the Warden adn Hawke go missing. Alistair's gonna be sad without his queen

Don't get your hopes up too high. I'd be shocked if they'd put that much effort into something that was almost never picked.
Then again, in ME3, they did include Morinth as a banshee if you saved her over Samara, so... I wouldn't be too sure.
