I'm inclined to think he won't be back, even if it makes me sad. However, is there a chance we could run into him trying to track Hawke and he helps us with some information. Okay I'm reaching here but it would be nice.

Omfg I love you *holds* i was sad about the Zev news too But yes! I am optomistic becuase they most definitely did not outright say that he wans't returning, just stating that we'd see some GIdeon in our future.... which please and thank you. So much want for Gideon ;_; 

 

Also I forgot that the Warden adn Hawke go missing. Alistair's gonna be sad without his queen

They have stated that they'll make an appearance, so. I just pray to god they don't give Warden a voice. They will, but... UGHH NO. Ruin my life. Maybe DA2 companions will make more appearances, seeming they were more recent, compared to Origins where we've already had a lot of stuff happen with the guys since it's been like 10 years or something, if I recall, since Origins and Inquisition.

I'm happy to hear that Gideon Emery will be back! I gotta say though, he's got SUCH a distinctive voice, it'll be hard to hear anyone but Fenris unless he modifies his voice acting quite a bit.

 

Very true. In D3 he voices a playable character - I'm still not used to Fenris my crusader harping on about the crusade and demons.

Not sure about seeing Fenris again.

I think they really had a hard time creating his character visual in DA2.And there were a lot of frustration.

So the devs might have a nervous breakdown thinking about recreating him with Frostbite.

 

Anyway my mage and Fenris ran away in my main playthrough , since Hawke disappeared , I hope him and Shale met each others.

And Shale will be turned into a sexy lady dwarves and they will fall in love...because they have tons of things in common.

Yes I ship Fenris and Shale.

D3 as in Diablo 3 hun, he plays the Crusader, which makes me very happy. ON a side note. Gideon Emery has a site that has a ludicrous amount of voice samples and I must say he has quite the range.

You have to run quicktime on the site to view it. I entertained myself for a good half an hour listening to Gideon's various voices. 

 

But yeah, aside from Fenris, who will look insane in FB3 if he does return, like unf the details in his hair and his tats i can't. I'm actually excited about every other returning character returning and looking absolutely beautiful thanks tot he new tech!

Well, he is a VA veteran! It's amazing how many cartoons you watch and how many familiar voices you hear Gideon's is hard to miss. 

 

The issue is that all of DA2s characters had unique face models, many of which I think were modelled on people... so it'll be difficult as well as lotsa time and money to recreate them again in a new engine, I THINK. After what happened with Alistair and Zevran, I suspect they'll be a bit more careful... lol.

They both hate mages.

They both have been changed by magic (tatoos/golem)

They both lost their memories.

They both gave away their life for others.(Fenris boon for his family /Shale turned into a golem willingly to save her people)

It's like they are made for one another.

I doubt they'll recreate Fenris on Frostbite just for the small cameo, and presenting him in DAI as some generic elf NPC with white hair and tattoos, after giving him such distinctive look - ugh, no. I don't want another DAII Zevran.

If GE were voicing the male inquisitor I would roll up a male inquisitor first just to listen to him talk throughout the game.  Can't get enough of that rumbling voice

He's currently voicing my Cousland rogue...mmm, he can 'unlock my chest' any day *giggles like a school girl*  He's also played an IRA member on "Burn Notice" and a Russian gangster in "Takers".  Not that I'm a fan of GE's or anything - and no, hearing Fenris declare "I'm yours" during random clicking didn't make me swoon, nope not at all!

1)Dragon age setting already horribly overuse old characters making world to small despity they claim that da isn't about single group op peoples they sapm with old character.

2)when i agree with what fenris says about mages he is horribly annoying with his whines about that.
