I am sort of disappointed, myself. The dragon age game with 8 love interests (which is quite a bit) is the first bioware game to have 0 who I would date. Of course this is based off personal preference and nobody's fault.
But how would you feel if a dlc unlocked a new area, maybe where two npc's, perhaps new captains of the inquisition, stayed. (One male and one female) they wouldn't be too important to the overall plot, but could be nice romance options.
DLC romance options? How would you feel about this idea?

To be fair, it's not really shallow to not be interested in someone because of the way they look. Pretty much every relationship is originally based off of physical attraction. It becomes more later of course, but it's really hard to love someone you're not sexually attracted to.
I disagree with this actually. I mean, most women are able to pass the "suitably attractive" bar that I have, but the best relationships I have had are the ones that kind of manifested unexpectedly.
