DLC romance options? How would you feel about this idea?

DA2 did have two different DLC that added an LI (Sebastian and Tallis) so there's certainly precedent for that, and of course I'd always be in favor of more romance options, so I definitely like the idea. Of course any DLC that adds a new character that is cool is going to be a major plus for the game, so it's a pretty good idea all the way around. The fact that there is no female dwarf or Qunari in the party, while there's a male one of each, is definitely a hole in the party that should be filled by DLC, so it would make sense from that standpoint also. It's a great idea!

I'm always up to play more content! So long as it isn't the sole focus of such a DLC and there was other stuff to do - more quests, more stuffs, more areas to explore - I would welcome it. =D DLC that expands on the story but kind of stands alone, can renew the excitement of the waning euphoria of the main game, when it's all said and done and you're wishing it hadn't ended. That's how I like my DLC. ![]()

8 is more than enough they dont need to waste resources on more, even if the resource amount for them in the dlc is small it is still a small portion best suited for other things
To be fair it's really only 3. The rest aren’t party members and require little work and are basically wasted since people who are into this stuff will probably like the option of it being somone to take with you.

they already talked about not having any more companions in the game as dlc.

If they do a better job than sebastian, I don't see a problem with a dlc like this.

I think eight is plenty. Of course, I'm biased because I want to date everyone eventually and I'm planning eight Inquisitors. So this is the first DA game where extra romances via DLC wouldn't have much appeal.
Well to be fair technically it's only 3 as most people that will bother with this type of stuff will want to take them with them. The ones outside your party require half the work and aren’t really real.

I would say, let's try to convince Bioware to give ass bit more deep tactic involving skills that have stanced like freeze, sleep etc, instead of making It a slasher with some RPG elements. But yeah romances and discussing DLC's when the game is not yet here is Important as well.
Now I know who is resposible for stupid/shallow games these days. Community

I don't have a problem with romance DLC. The only exception would be if the existence or planning for the DLC meant that romances in the base game lacked content, but it's hard to know for certain the causality.

I am sort of disappointed, myself. The dragon age game with 8 love interests (which is quite a bit) is the first bioware game to have 0 who I would date. Of course this is based off personal preference and nobody's fault.
But how would you feel if a dlc unlocked a new area, maybe where two npc's, perhaps new captains of the inquisition, stayed. (One male and one female) they wouldn't be too important to the overall plot, but could be nice romance options.
But how do you know you wouldnt date them if you dont even know them yet?

As evinced by the multiple threads on romances, and the interesting and varied discussions thereon, yes. Yes, many people enjoy and are interested in the Bioware Romance tradition and it is a selling point, as well as an aspect of the game we enjoy both playing and discussing a great deal.
You do not get to waltz in and say we care "too much" simply because, presumably, you don't care as much. If you can't actually contribute to the conversation, why come here and sneer?
I'd rather the DLCs expanded other, larger aspects of the story, myself, but who am I kidding? I'd totally buy a romance themed one unless it was utterly pants. It could be like the Valentine's Day issue of a comic; a lighthearted romp amidst, or after, the world-shattering events.

If you're talking about Cullen and Josephine, then we know that the advisers have just as much dialogue and romance content as the companions. Their word budget is the same, the only thing they don't have is the party banter. (And apparently there's also some kind of stronghold banter, so they'll still interact with each other and your companions.)
Also, there will be six romancable companions in all - Cassandra, Sera, Dorian, Iron Bull, and two that haven't been announced yet.

So, far we know there are eight possible options, with six essentially giving the Inquisitor a good selection based on preference.
However, with the exception of Iron Bull we don't know the racial preference of the party members or Npcs in the game. Somehow,
I cant shake the feeling that, Humans and Elves will have more of a selection when it comes to romances. I think Dwarven and Qunari
Inquisitors will find themselves limited to whoever will take them. This may fall down to Iron Bull and one of the unknown options for romance
in the case of Non Humans such as Dwarves and Qunari.
I think perhaps, if the DLC include 1 or 2 more romance options making a total of 10, it would be cool. However, these Downloadable characters would need to have some level of depth, that could affect the overall plot in some way.

I stated my opinion and asked a question. How is that not contributing?
If you needed my answer to be 100% about the actual topic, then no, I would not like a DLC simply to add a romancable character.

I still say it's the lazy way-out they don't have to write dialogue and romance content for on the job missions or whatever.

We know Josephine is available to everyone as well.

i would like the dlc to be additions to gameplay not just more romance options, seems like a waste of money just to pretend fall in love with someone
