So in DA2 I made this awesome dashing Spanish like rouge in the character creator that I feel in love with.  (Think Oberyn Martell from the Game of Thrones)  But I could never play him do to the horrible male voice actor.  It just didn't fit.  So I am hoping to god that Jon Curry will bring some of that flair Zevran had.  Not a Zevran repeat but you know what I mean.  So I can use someone like that this time around.

I'm actually mildly annoyed at his casting, though I'm reserving judgment until I hear it for myself.

 

I was hoping for the male american inquisitor to be a deeper baritone. If it isn't, then I'm going to be hoping for an option to mute the inquisitor, specifically.

I'm almost tempted to make a male Inquisitor at some point just because it's Zevran (American accent or no).

I just hope there's some pitch choices because watching jon curry's demo reel, he coud totally go for the dwarven/qunari deep american voice which has been used before. Which is great, since American is a consistent accent for both races, but I wanted to make an Elf using the American accent as a throwback to DAO but I'm afraid it's not gonna fit with the face of the character i'm making

I stalked the raptr q&a and they said "not at the moment" which yeah is a no, but I'm hoping that a lot can change from now and then but that's just me being optimistic xD

My qunari inquisitor was meant to sound like a qunari, damnit. American accented and deeper than the damn ocean.

I was both pleasantly surprised and disappointed about Jon Curry being male!Quzzy's voice. Pleasantly surprised, because he did great as Zevran. Disappointed, because I'm afraid Zevran is all I'm going to hear. Like how so many people's complaints about Jennifer Hale VAing the female Trooper in SWTOR was how she sounded exactly like Commander Shepard.

Jon Curry does the VO for a huge number commercials and TV promos in my area so I hope when my manQuisitor speaks I don't get the urge to buy a Dodge truck.  He's got talent and a great voice though, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he switches things up.

I can guarentee that he won't sound like Zev, especially if he's gonna speak like an American. He'll sound like one of these voices.

Even with male Hawke all I could hear was Vaughan.

Y'know, qunari and dwarves aren't all deep-voiced. Deeper than Zevran, yes, but not by much. Lots of them are moderately pitched. Curry could just lower his pitch slightly. British FemQuizzy and Iron Bull have deeper voices than Samantha Traynor and James Vega, so I think his voice will fit all races just fine.

I don't expect him to sound anything like Zevran, but I'm very happy with the casting.  I wanted my elfquisitor to be DA:O style where accent was concerned, and I think I'll like this.  

 

I also think the voices are meant to be a one-size-fits-all sort of thing regardless of accent.

the entire game he will speak normally, but for one line in a party banter he will speak in zevran voice.

Man I am having a hard time finding some videos of him where he's not-Zevran. Can't find any videos of the British voice guy either.

 

I just want to hear them, dangit! Anyone got any links? I did watch the trailers and gameplay vids, but I was hoping for something more.

I love Zevran and while I am SAD that he's not making a cameo, PLEASE DO NOT BRING THAT ACCENT BACK PLEASE!
