So, KE is supposed for barrier-heavy focus. But interesting that barrier absorbed damage isn't extenuated by armor.
i ilke it. i know it goes against most MMO/MOBA/RPG convention, but i think it actually fits the lore.

NEW SKILL TREE STUFF
I managed to grab the Upgrade for Wall of Ice!

I'm still not familiar enough with the relative mechanics of DA:I. What's guard? I take it it's some form of superior damage mitigation? Because at least compared to DAO, the AR has a lot of durable tank-like options, including dmg mitigation.
Yeah, guard is something the warriors can build up when using certain abilities that serves as a second health bar until it's broken. Kinda like barrier but it's not temporary. Maybe you could make a KE tank work, who knows? But for me, it'll be a dps, a very strong and useful one.
I have a question. can you still fire off auto-attacks with your staff with the spirit blade sustain on?
No, not to my understanding. I interpreted it as becoming your auto-attack, costing 10 mana each time.

Bah. That's probably what I saw. I was hoping it would be one of the passives off of WG or FS.
Hm... there is another "horn" ability in Battlemaster, but this one has a skull in the design? ![]()

It's not a sustain. Just an active.

He hits for a millisecond, but I can't pause it fast enough to get a shot of it.

Ah, I see. So it's basically an off-tank but mainly DPS, especially if spirit damage is as broken as it was in the old games.

Not based on the description it's not.
Edit:
The grammar is fucked on this sentence but there's no way it's an active based on the description.

Looks like with passive bonuses to cooldown times you can always have wall of ice up.
It's a sustain. You're not button mashing. It also allows you to deflect blasts, which helps when a dragon aims a fireball at you.
Didn't sustained abilities have a different icon than actives? And the speed between the swings seems to be unsteady like each swing was activated by pressing the key. At least, that's the impression I got from the showcase and the usage infight.
Eluvianus Rex, you are doing The Maker's work.
Man, I wish we could have seen all the passives for Winter and Knight Enchanter! I'm greedy.

But it worked as an active. They hitted 1, the spirit blade did a swing. And like that everytime... Hmm maybe I missed something

Same here.
What I could grab from the Knight Enchanter Specialization

You could be right. I didn't see the fight itself. But then that would make it a pretty shitty ability to use with KBM, since you have to button mash and micromanage the KR. It's basically an ability that's only fun if you use it as an ARPG.
All abilities are 'actives' now, but some of them can be toggled on/off at different costs, for example 5mana/sec. Spirit Blade looks to be one of them, except a /hit base instead of /sec
Really curious about Veiled Reposte.
I wonder is it: "Any Barrier on you" causes 20% feedback.
OR
"Your Barrier on Everyone" causes it.
I believe Spirit Blades is a passive that alters your regular attack.
Also, I certainly hope Veiled Riposte only works on the Knight Enchanter. If it works on any Barriers cast by the Knight Enchanter it would be a bit too synergistic. Why Buff a tank with Barrier from any Mage other than a Knight Enchanter?
Looks like all spec have the same tree layout.
It was an active 100% sure, if you see the video it is pretty clear. Also, the icon is of an active. Not sustain nor toogle.
You just cast it at melée range, and that's it. I am also dissapointed, I expected a toogle, but that it how it is!

Can't you set your tactics for your KE to use Spirit Blade when someone is set up for a combo in order to trigger the eldritch detonator? Or set the tactics to have them use it repeatedly until their mana is below a certain level? Or set them to use it when they are being attacked by a melee attack?
I believe Spirit Blades is a passive that alters your regular attack.
The icon is a diamond (active) not a circle (passive), among other reasons...
