I want to see if in Rift there is nature spells. At least one

Argh, those new skill trees make my first mage playthrough into more of a dilemna.

 

A Frost/Spirit/KE build seems viable, what with the 50% damage reduction and the CC from freezing. Combine with barriers to form a very tough mage indeed, then rip 'em to pieces with fade blades.

 

However, Storm seems really cool, and Static Cage in particular is loads of fun if it's the same ability I saw in several Youtube videos. But until we know more about Necromancer and Rift Mage, I don't know if I will want a shooty blastly mage or a freezy dicey mage.

So here's what I have for my KE/Necro/Rift (need to see other specializations first)

 

30 skill points

 

Winter: maxed 11 skill points

Spec: maxed 9 points

Storm: Energy Barrage, Chain Lightning, Lightning Bolt + upgrade, maybe Conductive current

Inferno:Flashfire + upgrade, Immolate + upgrade, Flashpoint, maybe Clean Burn

[Icy Magebane]

This is what I've decided on for now...

Mapped Spells: Spirit Blade, Fade Cloak, Barrier, Energy Barrage, Immolate, Winter’s Grasp, Blizzard, Mark of the Rift or Resurgence

The Barrier passive is -4 second cooldown... I don't really want that...

If it does look like that.....i may very well actually play a templar.....eventually

Yeah, that is true... it's also why I switched from 2 handed warrior to mage.

Gracias. First play-through is a Templar, second is a KE. Glowing swords for everyone.
