Wait a minute here... I thought you were talking about a qunari KE.  Why wouldn't you want +50% threat reduction on a Rift Mage?  Isn't that kind of useful for a mage who specializes in offense?

.......hold up. Yes, I want it for Gale. For Lugh, however, I'm not as keen.

In all honesty, I just the concept of being able to dispel things for both characters, and find it more interesting than the passive in front of it. So I'm just a tad annoyed that I have to get the passive first before I can reach Dispel.

You aren't going to use a Focus ability? :0

He's not specializing, iirc.

But he could certainly throw Mark of the Rift in there.

Have we seen any really impressive ones aside from haste and/or resurgence?

Exactly what I was thinking.

Hail of Arrows looks pretty powerful, but we've only been told about a handful of them: the two you mentioned, Firestorm, and Mark of the Rift.

I'm super interested in how much of a difference using a 3 tier focus skill can make it crucial battles, as well as all of the remaining Focus skills in the first place! So many choices. Investing in the Inquisition perks is going to be just as hard as the skill trees..

:(  Same here... there is still the old "Berserk" ability to consider.  That was a Two-Handed Focus back when the trees were shaped differently, so it might still be in... if so, it was probably added to Reaver.  I could take a guess at what it might have done, but it might not even exist, so there's little point...

Cassandra's Templar ability is also a mystery... just a simple horned helmet icon.  I have no idea what that might stand for.  Temporary (near) invulnerability?  I dunno...

I just now saw that for the first time...I have no effin clue what that could mean. A Shield of the Maker?

Ok, I see Cleanse on the first tier on the left. Blessed Blades is on the right. Holy Smite appears to be the capstone skill...

And that is why Cassandra is the easiest party member for me to build.  I simply must have Holy Smite!  :D  If I have to take nearly the entire tree to get access to it, so be it!  It doesn't hurt that Blessed Blade and Cleanse both sound really useful...

o.O  So... I'm guessing that means I should cancel that trip to Minrathous... 10,000 heresy probably means "shoot on sight"... :(

I like the sword and shield warriors cause they're so durable, and tough.  I agree that Cass will be worth the build.

Don't even bother crossing Nevarra because we'll know.

I'd think they'd want to make some Bog Unicorns of their own.

Yeah, I was going to have her use two handed weapons, but I decided that the extra defense from shields was a better plan... here is my level 25 Cassandra build...

War Cry, Shield Bash, Shield Wall, Lunge and Slash, "Blessed Blade," "Cleanse," Holy Smite, Focus Power

Spoiler

Not only is she great at generating Guard, she can handle both groups and single targets with her special abilities... hopefully Holy Smite has a "stun" upgrade like it did in DA2...

Yoink!

I'm taking that one, thank you! I can't build Sword and Shield warriors worth shoot.

Cass gonna hurt people, and it's a good thing.  That's a great build.  Like you, I'd totally max out the sword and shield, and Templar spec. Points into Vanguard as well.

rofl... well, it's pretty straightforward, but you're welcome to it.  There are at least two detonators on that list, so she should be very useful as a front-line fighter.

edit:  Whoa, hold on there... I just checked and Cleanse is also a detonator... ^_^ I can't wait to see this in action.

Good...she's gonna be my primary warrior, so I was worried that I'd screw up her build.

One other thing... if we can't go backwards, then you can't take the passive on the right side without taking Payback Strike first... I would advise against that and instead go with Harpoon -> Crippling Blows -> Coup De Grace in Battlemaster.... at least that is my plan for any points above 25.  Harpoon can unlock 4 passives in Battlemaster with only 1 wasted point (Harpoon), so that's a pretty good deal...
