The lightning strike dmg one is a great question. It may have a per-second, per-target limiter going on but it may not. The Energy Barrage in it's own description does count how many times it 'hits'. And each one is a separate damage tick so.. one would assume if there isn't some kind of per-second limiting factor on the lightning strikes it could end up being an absurd amount of hits.
I'm not really expecting it to work like one would hope, but if it did it would be a glorious combo ![]()
Other options/questions: double dagger talents that hit multiple times and poisons.
Mana surge looks amazing, it just put a winter themed Knight Enchanter on the table for me. It could work very very well with Ice Armor...
Out of curiosity—any word on if the Rogue or Warrior grappling chain abilities can target party members? Maybe if friendly fire is enabled?
The rogue one, at least ("Hook and Tackle") doesn't appear to do damage. I'm just trying to find a use for that skill if one is an archer.
@Caslon: It could be used to drag a tankier party member to you, if you're surrounded by enemies, I guess. Or to pull someone who's being whaled on out of danger.

Wow, there is a lot of interesting choices there...
Frost Mage has so many things to frost now, it is unreal. Late game you can keep frozen so many people if you go for the KE specialization. A lot of tankiness, if they break your barrier, AoE freeze, winter grasp, mine, blizzard might freeze, and we kind of expect fade step to freeze too.... That is a lot of combo wombos with the Spirit Sword. Frozen, Spirit Sword detonating. Frozen, Spirit Sword. Rinse and repeat!!
Shield bash 800% + 400% damage VS guard. I mean, it literally bashes through guard!
But then, a 2H warrior has a passive that does double damage always against guard, it also seems quite nice...
I am totally doing 2 types of archers: Varric as subterfuge and artificier, and Sera as poison archer, which seems pretty interesting.
Earthshaking strike's upgrade is really disapointing. That fire trail does 20% damage per second. Meh, totally unimportant, even more if you compare it to the WALL OF FIRE!! (Which is kind of crazy)
Whirlwind is a detonator. This is why it did soo much crazy damage to all enemies in the video demo where Iron Bull used Smite and WW. So yeah, pretty much guaranteed combo for my 2h Templar!!!!!!!!

The horns of warrior are kind of overpowered, and their upgrades are so interesting. Its either a crazy boost to the party damage, or a crazy debuff to enemies. Oh man, but they are so deep in that tree...
Which way should I go with the 2h Templar? Vanguard or Battlemaster? Crazy AoE damage or Guard?

The only thing I dont like of WARRIORS, is that their trees are too specific: the S&S tree, the 2H tree, the offensive tree and the defensive tree.

I'm having trouble viewing the screens on my phone, anyone mind posting what Mana Surge does?
When a barrier is destroyed it explode and freeze enemies in a 3 meter radius for 2 seconds and makes your next spell cost 0 mana.
Also give +3 Magic.

New video that takes the time to go through the base class trees (but didn't check the Fade Step upgrade, sigh).
Fade step upgrade does 300% weapon damage and chills for 8s
We will screenshot as soon as we can view the archived multiplayer stream. May even get what looked like a templar passive, which oddly was available in a mage tree and a couple passives and a KE ability.
We also didn't get Immolate's upgrade.

Did anyone else see that last Knight enchanter ability with the Snail icon. Stasis?
Man they show the last Knight Enchanter skill, and 'fist of the maker' icon has a different name. This streams been sexeh for skill glimps. Can't wait to pause and actually read wtf they say, but I saw 99% slow down on the upgrade on that snail icon.

Yeah Loki, makes me wonder if that really is just a re-worked haste from past E3 stuff instead of being a focus skill now. Would make sense.

The last spell of KE, the snail, is a targeted AoE slow. It is not so OP as DA2. However, the upgrade ups the slow to 99%, which is mostly as OP as it was in DA2.
I could not see if the center slows more or not...
