The character selection screen is kind of spoilery in that review.

You could be right but it looks like Blackwall hit the dragon at the same time so the damage could be his.

So after watching the ign video....

Da hell???? You show necromancy, reaver and the oh so awesome knight enchanter, but no tempest ??? I am sad :(

What does everyone think of the necromancers power of the dead skill? Seems you revive enemies vanquished in battle. Thing is, the summon archer seemed to take its sweet time to attack. Maybe that's why we have haste???

Also Vivienne is one solid character. Generating guard is sweet. If i made a KE, id probably utilise more storm spells though.

They are such a tease with those Necromancer abilities.  I can see them clearly mapped on the hotbar.  Abilities we've never seen before.  But oh no, they won't use them.  They switch to Iron Bull or Vivienne.  And they certainly won't show us the skill tree.  Please, some reviewer familiar with our thirst, take pity on us!

meeeh no necromancer details yet? Just some pics?

And Jedi...erm Knight Enchanter keeps getting more and more interesting, hopefully we won't have to lick the boots of the Chantry in order to unlock this specialization.

Necro vs Jedi, that's the dilemma for me

So...holy ****. Looks like Ring of Pain got a shift in how it works to be more like the old skills, that or how it works in MP is different (I hope not). Like that its a tick, even if the dmg is much smaller it just fits with the old version and the theme of my character better. Also, it's upgrade, oohh man. -4 sec CD reduction on Devour so it's a 4sec duration instead of 8 seconds? And it's cost is heavily reduced. Only 20% so 65 (if it is still 65) ends up being 52... still a lot of stamina. Think I'll still end up doing the Bull Charge prior to a devour, no stamina beats 52 lol.

Also those passives on the Keeper are definitely re-worded Templar passives. Those are almost identical with 2 changes, flavor text and their individual instead of party buffs. But they ultimately do the same thing, elemental resistance and all that. Makes me wonder if the winged skull icon is the same combat bonuses for when the Templar falls in battle. Or if it's reversed for bonuses anytime an ally falls.. I'd imagine it's the MP version as that's a bit more fitting then a Templar getting off on its companions getting knocked out.

-edit-

Ahh and Rampage, totally forgot. That is EXACTLY what I was hoping for and I really, REALLY hope the quizzy version of Reaver has that focus. Or that we get to pick are focus. That is an extremely beautiful rage ability. Attack Speed, Damage 'and' life leech all in one sexeh ragery package. Just forgo guard building with it on and survive off the crazy amount of life leech and you so absurd dmg. Mmmm...so good.

A few Reaver, Templar and KE abilities from the video posted by Nzero

The Templar passives don't have the same name has in the MP Keeper tree. I also wonder why they renamed Cleanse to Spell Purge and Holy Smite to Wrath of Heaven...

nope, that is a reworded Storm passive. In Storm it does more damage the lower your mana is.

Hmmm possibly a passive. Looking at the MP archer tree nothing stands out as a tempest active skill.

Unless on the left hand side, next to the green passive, that's a flask skill...which could be tempest. Hard to tell.

Its coloring looks alot like the flask of fire skill that we saw in the video where we first saw the knight enchanter being presented by mike Laidlaw and Cameron.

Sigh. So close

It could go either way on this one.  First of all, Conductive Current is the Storm passive he's talking about, and this is the symbol for Static Charge, not Conductive Current.  Secondly, it's a completely different stat description, even though it does function similarly to Conductive Current.  So it is possible that Tempest has a passive that's different like this but functions similarly.  I'm guessing Tempest has passives for all 3 elements: Lightning, Cold, and Fire, since we've seen the 3 active abilities are all different flasks of the elements.  This could be the Lightning-based passive.

We'll see.

That looks like an Assassin active ability (red).  I think you're right about the Tempest coloring.

We finally know the templar active abilities!!

It seems the templar is a really team player, a lot of buffs for the whole party, not just himself.

Blessed Blades affect all party member, it seems it is a 15% damage boost which is super good, although instead of being a passive (which would be OP), you have to use an ability slot and cast it every 24 seconds. However it says it does more VS demons, I guess that would be the upgrade maybe?

The AoE dispel is what we expected, but it is also a detonator. Which is quite interesting, given that it does not do any damage. What do you think the effect of the detonation would be? Maybe a debuff? Maybe it will do damage?

And finally, Holy Smite is called Wrath of the Heavens, which is nice. The effect is huge, 400% damage in AoE + stun of 4 seconds... For my 2h Templar this seems pretty interesting, since 400% weapon damage of a 2h weapon can be a huge nuke. And also sets up a huge whirldwind which is a detonator...

Templar looks extremely useful with all the party wide +damage% against demons, they seems to have lost their bonus against spellcasters though. *sniff*

I need more Necro information, but Knight Enchanter looks to be what I'm going to play in the end.

KE seems really powerful with auto-generated barrier through spirit slash. The IGN reviewer mentions that he has "facetanked" dragons with Vivienne. That would be kind of "meh".

Keep in mind most reviewers (like... almost all of them) play on normal for review purposes. That said, considering how powerful you can make barrier and getting it per attack? Yeah I can see that. I wonder how long you can sustain continued attacks with Spirit Slash. Other thing is barrier completely ignores your armor and resistances. All damage is done in full to the barrier so... I mean if it can be 'that' powerful, guards going to be more so as it takes full advantage of all that stuff.

Kinda curious if Champion has any guard builders since Templar and Reaver don't seem to have em. And he's supposed to be the unstoppable tank spec.

Ok, and in this video we see the name of a new Rift Mage spell, Pull of the Abyss, which seems to be the pull from DA2's Force Mage. At 5 minutes.

At 5.55 we see an active of artificier, elemental mines.

6.03, we confirm veilstrike for SP.

So we have:

Warrior - Templar: Blessed blades, spell purge, wrath of heaven

Warrior - Reaver: Ring of pain, devour, dragon-rage

Warrior - Champion: ?, ?, ?

Rogue - Artificier: Fallback plan, elemental mines, spike trap. (So I guess "throw everything" is the upgrade to elemental mines)

Rogue - Tempest: Flask of fire, ?, ?

Rogue - Assassin: ?, ?, ?

Mage - Knight Enchanter: Spirit blade, Fade cloak, Disruption field

Mage - Rift mage: Stonefist, veilstrike, pull of the abyss

Mage - Necromancer: ?, ?, ?

We are almost there for full knowledge!!

We even know what all those actives do, except for flask of fire, pull of the abyss and elemental mines. (Although we can imagine)

We need a review with Blackwall, Dorian, Cole and Sera!
