Excellent!

Im making a storm knight enchanter, with a dash of winter, a pyronecromancer and....
a tempest.

I just need to see if the skills would benefit a archery or daggers playstyle that suits me.

And though it may seem as heresy to some ... I really like that necromancer got haste.

:D

I dont really know what to think of it. It is an awesome spell, but it really really does not belong there, it clearly didnt have any other empty space left xD

A Necromancer itself would not benefit much from it, but I guess if your party has Cassandra, Varric and Cole as I intend, their dps is going to sky rocket.

From time to time, Dorian will come to say hi, so then I will just switch Haste for the Mark of the Rift.

Now that I remember, from the videos we saw that Inquisitor Tree. It had only 2 abilities by that time, Mark of the Rift, and a passive which reminded me of "unity" from Mass Effect. The tree said something like inspiring your team since you are a leader blah blah, so I expect some party buff.

Folks, I do not think they will call Haste in DAI as Haste. They will call it Slow Time or Time Spiral or something of that sort. For the simple reason that this spell slows down time and necromancy is related to time because time causes death so....

By the way...Necromancy looks awesome...

I just found this in the Dorian thread.

"(...) en is mage Dorian een necromancer, waardoor hij zelfs als hij dood is nog door kan vechten." - XGN (translation: "and mage Dorian is a necromancer, which means he can continue fighting even when he's dead"

Hmmm, I bet it's one of his upper tier passives.

We know the 3 actives. They are devour, ring of pain and dragon-rage. Dragon-rage is the one you are refering to I think, it has an animation of 3 attacks and some kind of red claw appearing. It does not cost stamina, but health to cast! It does massive damage, or so it seems.

That sounds awesome. Thanks for the info man, this is gonna be so much fun. Cannot wait to build my warrior.

Necromancer superiority ! YEAAH !

I think that all the specializations will have some powerful stuff like this. For example Knight Enchanter can become immune to damage and generate barrier with each strike. It follows that Necromancer will have some powerful ability or passive like that.

Lichquisitor ftw !

You know if you do romance Dorian as a mage and you pick up Necromancy, you could RP as being in love with him in death and beyond...

Anything on the Champion specialization yet? I'd also like to know more about the Tempest spec, too, although there's a bit more information out there already.

Still not sure which class I want to play~

Extremely minor problem, I guess.

The only thing we know about tempest is

Flask of fire skill.

and two new icons from the videos, one a focus icon and the other another activated one.

We don't have anything on Tempest, Champion, or Assassin as of yet.  We've seen a few Necromancer abilities in use in gameplay videos from today, but no glimpse of the skill tree on that one either still.  When all those skill trees get screen shotted (especially Necro), I'm going to be a happy dude.

So how many skill points can we expect to have all up by endgame, assuming we're playing a human?

I'm liking all trees (plus KE) but Inferno for my mage inquisitor, so I want to get an idea of how my point spread will look.

That would be very, very creepy, and somewhat funny, in a dark way.

Seriously, I think, based on the DAI video that talks of Dorian, Necomancer could mean you will have serious crowd control powers. The way entropy helped out in the previous games. I hope Walking Bomb and Fear/Horror are contagious to other enemies, so they can suffer.

Not sure, but I'm hoping there are points from tones as well to boost our points.

1.  Haste looks bad ass.

2.  I want Cassandra's pimp hat on all my characters.

3.  I'm actually not digging the huge purple skull animation.  It looks more like a purple face/mask than a skull because of the coloration and lack of definition other than having holes for eyes/mouth.  Could have been done much better IMO and compared to other effects, falls short.

Someone really needs to make a video showing off the different specializations. I wont be happy until I know what every ability in the game does.

Well, Mike said the game is soft capped in that you start getting less and less XP the further along you go.

But from the sounds of it. If you do most of the content in the game you'd fall somewhere around level 30. Probably a little over.

So you should probably build around the idea of 25 points and just look at the rest as extra.

Well, the max level seems to be about 30, we get 2 points at level 1, humans get an extra point, and there is an inquisition perk that gives an extra point. We don't know if there are skill tomes yet, but its safer to assume not. SO up to 33 points I would say. I am planning on 29 points for my humans, or level 26.

It kind of reminds me of the witch doctor in Diablo 3
