I think it may have 3 paths, in the layout of the tree, one per element? because why would someone want the 3 flasks if you can only select 8 active abilities? xD

So far, I like the passive we've seen in MP (it's from Tempest tree, Sera has it in one of the vids) but I don't know... I was thinking to go Tempest all the way, but if it's just coating your weapons with ice/fire/lightning (I wish we could throw the flasks instead), I may go Assassin...

I am hoping we do get one flask of each element. I really want a flask of lightning lol. But I plan to keep 2 different flasks on me at all times, just because of resistances and whatnot. Besides, the flasks may stack. I am hoping the upgrades really give each flask a special spin too. The passives for every tree so far have been pretty spectacular, so I don't expect anything different from Tempest.

Im thinking i may only use 2/3 elements. I will look at the two which enemies are most weakest to, and use them.

Rogue has access to too many fun looking abilities.

Yeah, well, I don't have room for two flasks xD if I find inmunities, I'll change them whenever the combat is done if I know there'll be more enemies like that close... I'll take the lightning flask indeed :D And yeah, upgrades... interesting!

Oh the 3 skills for tempest is definitely the 3 elements, fire ice and lightning. Dunno what they 'do' but that's definitely what the actives are. Course that leaves 4 passives and no idea wtf any of that does. Or what the flasks do outside of you know, being elemental oriented.

Also between that (german?) video and IGN's look like my original speculation was semi-right with relation to necromancer 3 active skills. Walking Bomb, AoE Fear, and some kinda minion. That minion seems to be a debuff of some kind, it wouldn't surprise me if that spell doubled as some kinda entropic like spell that then turns them into a minion for a little while if they die while its on (kinda like walking bomb).

Definitely liking that but really wish we knew the details.... reviewers never really prioritize that kinda information when it's all I give a damn about lol.

-edit-

Ninja'ed in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY. Necro-skill info what whaaaat! That's like some kinda party ninja! or ninja-santa... :wizard:

Y'all do realize that the Pyromancer Passive might help all the fear related stuff in Necromancy, right? Hopefully, at least.

Interesting Haste being ended up in Necro tree, it doesn't seem fitting. I wonder if that's a focus ability for all necros or just Dorian? In his introudction vdieo narrator mentioned his main role is to protect party and Dorian seems to be the closest option we get to 'healer' in DA:I.

@MightyLink : They have a pet it's just not permanent. Spirit Mark is the 'pet skill'. It works just like the old walking bomb, except instead of exploding on death you get a minion for 15 seconds. It's a bit more immediate then older necromancer skill where you'd have to wait for something to die then cast a spell at the area of corpses to get a minion. I bet you the upgrade ups minion duration.

Personally I like the spell, seems to work on every enemy (including animals and stuff), and unlike in DAO it'll mimic the exact abilities of what your killing. I'm curious if this could result in a Ghost-troll or giant or something. Cause THAT would be hilariously awesome for the short time it would be around.

-edit-

Oh and a passive that creates a mimicing ghost when you get knocked out? You basically have 10 seconds after being knocked out of ghostbro version of your self that casts spells at no mana cost. That's kinda crazy...

Yeah still not sure why that happened. I'd have put haste in Rift mage and chosen a new ability for Necromancy, maybe raise the bodies of the fallen to fight by your side from a period of time.

It's still a solid tree, although I may leave Dorian to it, and go with Knight Enchanter as I planned. I'd take Rift so not to take Vivienne's role from her, but I really like the close up nature of KE.

do we know if there is an upgrade for spirit blade? cuz in some videos it's this small sweeping arc but in the ign video it was this HUGE green greatsword looking thing

The ability you saw from Vivienne, and the ability from the streams, is one and the same. I saw it as well. Might be a weird camera angle that gave the impression that it's small or curved, but it's not really.

It looks like a sort-of transparent classical hilt sword made of energy, it's yellowish in color, and it's as big as a "one and a half sword".

Think of all the chaos you can sew with Necromancer power. I love it! Of course I'm a mix some damage and support spells in there. Fear me, Thedas.

Alright, all Haste strangeness aside, Necromancy looks REALLY powerful to me. Death Syphon is shockingly good for healing in a game where healing is scarce, there's damage, there's minions, there's fear disruption, and Walking Bomb looks like it does some nice damage too....

Nice tree. I really want to see Rift Mage, though - I think I might end up specializing in it.

Holy hell, Necromancer looks really REALLY good. Disregarding the fact Haste doesn't make sense in it, it's really interesting.

Having a Spirit fight over Dorian's dead body? Now that'll be something to see.

Only concern I have is the Spirit Mark. It says in its description that the Spirit mimics the body's form to fight on your behalf briefly...it also says the duration is 12 seconds. That's a little too brief for me to actually incorporate it as a vital part of my build. Hmmm. It would be better if the Spirit stuck around until it was killed like in DA:O.

It might pop up on that same forum by the same poster, but Rift Mage was another popular request in there. Necromancer was the only one I was really interested in seeing though, so my constant Googling has come to an end.

Haste should've been a Rift Mage or Knight Enchanter skill. Thematically it does not fit the Necromancer specialization at all.
