I totally agree it's necromancy OR a new symbol for entropy. Looking at the symbols left to right I'm guessing

Necromancy/ Entropy, Necromancy/ Entropy, Spirit ( easy one haha), Creation and then Primal.

If that's the case, then it would seem to indicate that lightning and stone spells are back with flame and ice under the Primal tree ( a decision I'd be happy with).

I'd agree but Vivienne's tree from the dwarf demo compared to this makes me a bit confused.

Seems like the spec is to the left of the spirit tree on both. Assuming the goat is necro and the sword and shield is viv's spec. If that's the case Viv has that ice thing in the place of entropy. IB had five trees so I assume we are seeing all of Viv's trees.

Entropy is back, hell yes.

I dig the idea of making the Spirit tree healing based. If it'll include our beloved paralysis/repulsion glyphs that the Creation tree harbored in previous games.

If I had to guess at the mage trees it'd go

"Entropy, Rift/Necromage??, Spirit, Elemental, Arcane".

That skill tree after entropy looks very much like a specialization tree, it's also in the same place IB's reaver tree falls under in order.

I think the one with the green symbol is the creation tree and I think arcane is gone. That could also be part of the spirit tree seeing as it was in origins and there seems to be some kind of force field spell in the spirit tree.

In DA2 Hawke had more trees than everyone else so Vivienne might just not have entropy, it doesn't make the ice one any clearer though.

I don't think that would make sense...they redone the Spirit tree to make its central focus healing. What could they do with creation? Besides glyphs and buffs.

The colour for the creation school is green

I am seeing two spells that look like heals in spirit. There could be more but I don't think they are making it focused on healing I think it just has some heals in it because they said you couldn't actually have a dedicated healer, just a mage built towards support.

That top right spell looks very much like barrier from DA:2 and the shield could be Arcane Shield.

As for creation idk, that could still have a heal in it (or not), we know that haste is a focus spell now but idk, maybe they put some keeper skills in creation or some other fun new spells.

The creation school is also known as the school of nature. With it, we may get the plant spells and stinging swarm spells from Origins and awakening.

So what do we think that purple goat skull symbol is?

I'm guessing it's necromancy.

So, I don't know what it means, but it's identical to the symbol used for Vengeance but purple instead of yellow.

I'm also doubtful about what should creation be about ifhealing is now part of Spirit

edit: could the one with sun in the right be "arcane"? or maybe both suns stand for Elemental and Primal?

They confirmed that glyphs were in (at least for enemies), so it could be that and maybe something like grease and buffs. And haste is in the game, so that could be in the creation tree.

True but all the glyphs we have seen so far have been element based. Viv used an ice one in the pax demo. That doesn't mean there wont be others though.

My theory is that arcane is part of spirit again like in origins but i could be mistaken.

My theory is based on this.

the Circle teaches four schools of magic, those are the schools our mage Warden knows and can learn spells from, plus specializations that he/she learns from elsewhere.

In DA2 part of spirit was split into Arcane.

Spirit healer isn't really a school as such it's just someone who has made a deal with a spirit and uses it's magic to heal. So it would just be seen as part of the spirit school because the spirit school is just magic that involves the fade and spirits.

So I think arcane is part of spirit again and that spirit has some of the spirit healer abilities too. But I can'[t really be sure, it's just a guess based on what I am seeing.

Enemies use repulsion in the latest demo. I don't see why it wouldn't be available to the player.

You might have to "unlock" skill trees with a resource kind of like specialization points, and you only get a certain number. So Vivienne unlocked a different set? I dunno. I'm not seeing where the Inquisitor in the demo got all their fire spells from (maybe primal, but she also has frost and lighting and stone and I can't see them all coming from that far right skill tree). So maybe mages do have more trees?

It makes sense, because it seems there are 9 spell there (plus upgrades), so there's room for that. Also, among those 9 spells, it's already there barrier and arcane shield... wierd though that I can't see crushing prision (which is a classic and I can't believe it's goint be left out, so it might be somewhere else?)

I'm sooo curious to know what are the other spells that I don't recognize  there's seems to be a bear?

I did not notice, thanks for pointing it out.  ^_^

Yeah, we have seen an absolute ton of fire and ice spells already as well as a lighting spell and stone fist, it's incredibly confusing. I would say element switching but Viv uses fire and ice spells together in the pax demo so I dunno.

It could have a new icon, I can't see them getting rid of it either. I could just be completely wrong about arcane though.

does anyone know what is Skill that's assigned to the X button for Iron Bull?

it's the blue icon with the Sword and "halo" on top.

it almost looks like it would be a Templar skill.........

Good point!

I'm not seeing it in any of his skill trees and they showed them all in the demo. It could be a focus ability or maybe it's just a mistake or a placeholder of some sort.

right. I didn't see it in any of the individual Warrior trees they showed.

so........yeah.....I'm guessing it's just a placeholder for now?

I don't think we are going to fully understand the new system until they show it to us, hopefully this will be soon.

yeah. I'm kind of confused how the "focus" skills work. they're going to have to explain better how that mechanic works.

I'm also eager to the see the various specs in action, especially Templar and Knight Enchanter.

It's possible that Iron Bull has his own specialisation and the reaver spec?

I don't know, but I'm really hoping companions get a unique set just for them, it helped define their character and role more.

I think there was like an armor mechanic visible in the demo Iron Bulls health bar had at times what looked like a layer of metal.

The Haste spell is a focus spell, and it has a border on the icon. I actually DO see borders on some of the Warrior abilities at the end of their tree.

1.) Are they seriously making us spend one of our precious one-per-level talent/spell points on abilities we can only use every so often? I was hoping they were handled separately.

2.) I really wish somebody would explain in more detail how Focus works.

PS. I share the confusion over mage trees. Lots of spells we've seen (especially ice), but small trees and where the heck does everything go? Perhaps they're bigger than the other classes' like in DA:O? I doubt it, though. Maybe fewer passives?

From left to right, I think those trees are: Entropy, See Below, Spirit, Creation, Primal (Fire and Earth?).

The weird purple one COULD be a specialization, but I also wonder if there's a special tree for each class that only the Inquisitor gets? Otherwise, probably Necromancer.
