Which specialisation do you think will be the most popular for each class based on what we have seen so far?
Warrior- Templar or Revaer
Mage- knight enchanter vs necromancer
Rogue- assassin. Though I'm hoping Tempest is a decent spec for my dwarf.
Which specialisation do you think will be the most popular for each class based on what we have seen so far?
My warrior will be reaver, my mage will be jedi knight enchanter and my rogue will be bow assassin.
This will also be the characters I'm playing in multiplayer.
I've always been wanting reaver, because that's just the way I like to play my warrior.
I have to say KE looks better and better. Massive bariier options, 2 teleport options, Lightsaber for massive damage. Aww yeah.
And assassin, well... Duh ![]()
I've been thinking a lot about Knight Enchanter vs Necromancer, currently leaning toward Necro, KE seems to rely too much on spamming Spirit Blade
I might also do Artificer first but it depends on how good those spike traps are. Any video of them in action?
Yeah, Knight Enchanter sound incredible now. The fact that they dont need Spirit Tree for barrier and generate barrier by doing any kind of damage won me over. Sound much more fun than Arcane Warrior as a melee type mage.

Warrior: If I had to pick one, I'd say Reaver because people like being aggressive when controlling the PC (I'm guessing). Templar will also draw a lot of people because it's linked to the story.
Rogue: Assassin, probably. Most instantly recognizable and iconic.
Mage: This one is tricky; I think Rift Mage will be the hardest sell on the surface of things. Lots of people go for the creepy flavor so they'll grab Necromancer, but a lot of people also like Warrior-Mage hybrids with Knight Enchanter. I think Necromancer has a slight edge with the general gaming population, though.
I feel vindicated in mistake last night because they did the EXACT SAME THING on the twitch stream where people asked to see the tempest skill tree and they showed the storm (mage) tree instead lolol.

I wish we still had SpiritWarrior, thats my favorite Specialization from all DA games so far.
You're welcome y'all.
Devour and Dragon Rage
Thanks
. He didn't show off anything else?
After looking over a lot of the skill tree abilities, I've gotta say that as much as I love a lot of the abilities, the way they've handled the placement of the Focus abilities is a total mess. It makes NO freaking sense, and it just seems like they put them wherever without even trying to make it make sense.
For the next game, I really, TRULY, hope they completely overhaul how they handle the character abilities, including specializations. The basics (activated / passives) are fine, but I just....I'm not really sure I think the Focus abilities should stick around even if the general design (less healing and so forth) appeals to me greatly. I'm gonna share some of my ideas just for fun, and I'm curious if these appeal to anyone else (I've said some before). The spoiler tags are just for space; there will be no actual spoilers.
Idea One: Different Skill Trees for Companions
Idea Two: Bring back the missing Mage trees!
Idea Three: Bigger specialization trees
Idea Four: Different style of upgrades
Idea Five: Go Diablo 3 on this franchise's butt
A guy who apparently has a review copy is going to be doing a stream starting at around 4pm PST. He says it's for the viewers so someone needs to try and get to show the spec trees. I'd do it myself but I'm but going to be able to watch it.

It has started!
He's about to go over skill trees, and it's loading Skyhold NOW.

Yep it's about to go down!
Going over Tempest right now!
Doesn't immediately appeal to me, but that's nice to know beforehand, I guess.
BLACKWALL NEXT
I just missed the champion!! FML!!!
DAMN! He doesn't have Rift Mage, but I bet if he put some points into those unspent levels, he'd unlock it! Somebody tell him that lol.
Champion's a pretty good tanking tree! Not surprising! One skill causes enemies to do/take more damage. Another gives temporary invulnerability. I forget the others right now, but I liked what I saw. I think this is what I want, pretty sure I'm going warrior now. Glad that's settled.
Assassin is also not too surprising, high single target damage. I think I want Cole in my party, and his spec looks pretty cool. So, that's nice.
Didn't get any screenshots, v. irresponsible of me.
Knight enchanter tree complete!

It's fine. Can get it after.
Tempest was way different than I expected. Sorta cool, but...very weird.
