Champion's a pretty good tanking tree! Not surprising! One skill causes enemies to do/take more damage. Another gives temporary invulnerability. I forget the others right now, but I liked what I saw. I think this is what I want, pretty sure I'm going warrior now. Glad that's settled.

 

Assassin is also not too surprising, high single target damage. I think I want Cole in my party, and his spec looks pretty cool. So, that's nice.

 

Didn't get any screenshots, v. irresponsible of me.

 

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! This is what I want! I can't wait to see the spec! I'm so excited right now. I knew when I saw that shield icon it screamed ZerioctheTank. I eagerly await these screenshots that someone hopefully took.

Rift Mage is absolutely determined to elude me -_____-

 

Champion is definitely the tank spec.  Vanguard + Champion seems plain unstoppable.

 

Tempest doesn't appeal to me... but dat focus.. I'll probably take that for the cool factor, hehe.

 

Assassin seems like a boring version of the Subterfuge tree, tbh.  May need to look over that one again.

What I'm pissed off about is Varric having daggers and yet the damn Focus didn't change. That guy had daggers on Varric (cause of the talents used) and Varric's Focus was still Hail of Arrows...

Can someone help me with a quick question?

I see all these photos with the Specializations, however they have a party's member name on them (ex. Varric's artificer)

 

Does the player also have access to Artificer (as an example again)

if so is it a modifed version for the PC?

Im trying to build a character before launch, my plan was an archer rogue (never played rogue in my main world state) but with the most interesting party members (to me at least) being rogue and the fact i dont find any of the mage  party members appealing (again my opinion. I'm considering a Winter/Necro or Winter/KE

I'm just a little confused how the trees and specs work.
