100 and it only increase through gear, but unlike previous games mana/stamina regen is a lot more easy to get. 

 

A KE could get between 35% and 135% regen rate via Winter Stillness, Combat Clarity and Rejuvenating Barrier. Rift Mage and Necro get flat return via passive under certain conditions too.

 

Same goes for Warrior and Rogue, they have regen passives too.

 

 

Oh I'm not worried about overall mana supply.  I'm more worried about short windows of opportunity to create self combos.  For example, Winter's Grasp costs 65 mana and has a 4 second freeze.  Immolate is the cheapest ability I see that combo's with it and is 35 mana.  That's your entire pool unless you have + mana gear.  Even if your regen is crazy high, if you want to try and create self-combos you'll only be able to do that if you start at max or close to max mana.

 

I really think that the Eldritch Detonator combo is only going to be feasible on a regular basis with another mage in the party.  Mana regen is fast, but not that fast.

You can proc eldritch detonator on any incapacitation...so it would work if you used immolate on a mob stunned by a warrior for example...or rogue's sleep.

They look good. I agree with getting Energy Barrage. It's going to be really useful as a way to do damage to everyone w/o having to dip into every single tree.

@efd731 : Ehh not... really. You can kill the minion by using the skill again so... it's not really an issue. Also the 'minion' doesn't keep you in combat anyway if there are no enemies. So... no, no that's not an issue.

I really think that the Eldritch Detonator combo is only going to be feasible on a regular basis with another mage in the party.  Mana regen is fast, but not that fast.

 

There is Eldritch (Mage/Templar), Precision (Rogue) and Impact (Warrior) Detonators.  All detonators work against incapacitated enemies (aka stunned, paralyzed, frozen, etc). We don't really know what they do though.

Just occurred to me I don't think I have a detonator on my main first playthrough. That is, unless, devour or Dragon-Rage count and just lack the icon top star. I've noticed plenty of specialization icons lack the detonator mark letting you know its one while stating it in the text. Icons for the descriptions in a lot of the stuff have been cut off before you can even see if it's a detonator so that's a bummer.

 

Was thinking of using Combat Roll just due to the ability to zip outa being sundered or something, but maybe I'll take something else. Then again, 3 other characters in the party. I don't really 'need' a detonator, Sera or Cassandra could detonate combos Vivienne sets up.

I really like how the accessories in DA:I really open the versatility of your abilities/character. It's not just a stat slot anymore. Although I guess it can be. Increasing taunt duration or something like that is really useful.

then i must have missed something, but on the last wikiguides stream he had a minion and it prevented him from exiting combat. there were no enemies and as soon as its "health" ran out it dissapeared and the "combat phase" ended.

Nope. I'm curious about it, however. Playing around detonations was a lot of fun in ME3, though it arguably made the game too easy.

 

Still, I love the idea.

but if using the skill again ends the spells duration early, than you're correct, no real drawbacks. except having to make a new minion for yourself later :P

One thing I have noticed with Spirit Mark. As long as you have it active with a minion summoned, there is a bug (at least on PC) that doesn't allow you to click on anything in the world until the minion disappears. Also, when you are fighting a rift, and you make a minion out of the demon, the next wave will not start until the minion is dead.

 

So you gotta make sure you turn it off.

Now that sounds like a shitty bug they hopefully fix Eluvianus. Least we can unsummon it whenever we want.

Yeah, it just sucks that we have to turn it off everytime we want to continue a Rift sealing or wanna loot something.

One thing I have noticed with Spirit Mark. Could be useful for rifts, give yourself some time to regroup before a pride demon jumps out on Nightmare.

Yeah issue I have is all the 2H detonators I don't like. And the non-style related trees on warriors have no detonators. But it doesn't matter, it's not a lone character. I got 3 others that can detonate. Still wish Devour was a detonator though, then again, it might be still... the image we have is cut off, but then the icon lacks the star, but then so does spirit blade and it's a detonator so... Meh. Damn inconsistencies.
