my statistics skills are rusty right now and yes the above is partially true.

The percentage is not cumulative, but the overall chance of weakening is above 5% the attack is repeated 4 times.

Maybe I will do some search for the mathematical type for this

If the chance per hit is 5%, then the probability of the event occurring at least once in 4 hits is 18.55%.

still haven't confirmed myself, but I'm too lazy to dig into my old college books now.

I'll take your word for it and thus it seems it is a veryhelpful passive after all :)

I love this Knight Enchanter Build.  Oh and I take it back.  Knight Enchanters aren't Jedi, they're the Avatar.

P.S.

A fully upgraded Ice Mine is 6 seconds of 100% Armor reduction?!  How did I miss this?  The mine spells are boss killers.

Necro and Archer working in tandem could give an amazing opening salvo depending on how things stack.

1. Necro Horror (no upgrade) to panic an enemy without damaging it.

2. Archer uses upgraded Full Draw (and Mercy Killing passive from Subterfuge) for a 1600% shot, guaranteed critical (if skills can crit?) which puts them to sleep for 20 seconds.

3. Archer uses Long Shot on sleeping enemy for a 600/800% shot, guaranteed critical, combo detonator.

Even without the criticals it would be good, but if they apply it would be ridiculous.

Do you remember the inquisitor-only active skill? the one which creates a tiny rift? Is it still a focus ability? I can't find any info.

Also: do you think we'll be able to get skills located in an upper part of a tree from a lower part of the tree? Probably every connection between skills can only be descended... What do you think?

Considering Cass is a Templar, I wanted to go with Templar/Reaver or Templar x2 - I think Champion is a bit too much on the tanky side if I'm already using two S&S warriors.

Anyone else? The rest of the group would consist of Varric/Sera and Dorian/Vivienne.

Templar x2, if you are not interested in variety in the party and the passives stack would be monstrous

Yeah only descended. Someone above posted a picture showing it.

I think the Inquisitor has an extra skill tree to everyone else (with like 4 things on it) so maybe the rift skill you're talking about is on there?

I saw a picture of that tree a while ago but it only had an active and a passive, if I recall correctly. Do anyone know where to find it?

:/

The only (tiny) rift creating skill that I remember seeing was the Rift Mage's Pull of the Abyss at the minute mark.

No. The inquisitor has an unique active which creates a tiny rift that banishes demons and damages foes, differnt form the spell shown in this video.

In any case I think I answered my question just watching this vid: look at 2:16. The talent assigned to RB is what I was talking about and the highlighted edges of the icon clearly show that it's a focus ability.

For KE:

Inferno- Best DPS, and clear burn is a must for any build.

Winter- Best Survivability for obvious reasons.

Tempest with upgraded Death Blow, Flask of Fire (the first skill in Tempest...) and upgraded Deep Sleep is another potential killer combination.

Upgraded Deep Sleep puts enemies in a 6m radius to sleep for 20 seconds and makes them 'slow to wake after taking damage'.

Flask of Fire removes all stamina costs for 5s (probably longer with the upgrade).

Upgraded Death Blow gives you a combo detonator on sleeping enemies and has no cooldown if you kill something with it.

= potentially unlimited Death Blows with no stamina cost or cooldown for the duration of Flask of Fire, as long as you make sure you are killing enemies with it.

for a different view, I'm choosing storm.

Enables you to hit harder with every slash of your spirit blade, paralyzes anyone that tries to interupt your casting and every 15 secs auto casts a bolt for 300xweapon damge

500% damage vs demons and 6 secs of stun for everyone around him?

I'd definitely through my Templar in the heat of battle

Yeah, but that's also a LOT of stun. Stun I'm almost positive is gonna be a setup for detonators too. Imagine a 2H templar, AoE stun around em, Whirlwind once to detonate the lot of  the enemies? That could be a fun one. Or Shield Bash or something. Still would be nice if the upgrade let a small bit of that harm normal enemies as well.
