Ahh damn, stealth is only 30 seconds, sure that's double upgraded DA2 stealth but still, that's a bummer. Also Gandalf energy sword. Was not expecting that, part of me wishes the sword was in the right hand, curious how it looks in combat now. Well, more curious, really wanted to know prior to this, just really want to know even more now . :P

It's 30 seconds now, but I think the cooldown is 24 seconds so you could still be in permanent stealth! :)

Unless it goes on cooldown after you exit stealth.

Uh, yeah, I didn't think about that, you're right! xD Although, watching the gameplay videos it doesn't seem likely. That guy is spamming stealth!

EDIT: Ok, because stealth has that property, the more you hit, the more the cooldown is reduced... You're right. It's kind of a sustained ability so until you stop being in stealth the cooldown does not restart.

For me, all my canons are rogue, although I always start with mage... don't know why... tradition, I guess, I always played mages in all RPGs but rogues are growing on me since I started playing DA. So, first playthrough, mage. Second one, DD rogue. And after that, more rogues and mages, have to try all the specs!

But with the passives the rogue has like 100% threat reduction if flanking, etc. It's gonna be awesome and maybe more strategic.

I agree the rogue is looking awesome with tonnes of dmg and an importance on flanking but ive already got my first two kinda planned out.

Elven Knight enchanter Tank or Off Tank

Human or Qunari Champion/templar Tank

Haha so you are the tanking type! I personally don't really like it but it is said this time around tanking it's going to be quite fun with guard and what not.

I don't mind tanking, the reason my first two could be tanks is i really like the look of sword and shield warriors and their probably amazing tanks. As for a Knight enchanter i love the idea of running in casting a bunch of spells gaining aggro casting barrier, summoning my spirit blade and gandalfing them all .

When I use KE, I'll let IB to take all the hits! hahaha I'll take the threat reduction passive and go kill them without them touching me xD

I reckon you might want iron bull with a S&S as i think he's a reaver the dps spec and that should help with the hit taking. If i can tank effectively as KE ill have blackwall or Iron bull as a two handed off tank

I'm really looking forward to playing my rogue, judging from my tactical pause-and-read of the videos in the OP. The only issue is that I want all the skills! Though since I can only assign 8 at once, I don't really need them all.

So far, it seems that I'll be going mainly Double Daggers, with parts of both Sabotage and Subterfuge. Leaning away from Artificer for the moment, unless it's confirmed that Hail of Arrows is unique to Varric and the Inquisitor gets a different Focus ability. Guessing that at maximum level we'll be able to have around 2.3-5 trees, depending on whether we can pick up talent points from tomes or quests in-game.

Varrics Focus ability if worded a little differently could apply to both bow and dual wield.

I mean, yeah, it could, but the wording as-is is clearly geared for an archer (though Varric could also go double dagger, so…), which is why I'm curious about it. I'm just curious as to whether companions actually get unique focus skills as well as unique descriptions for their spec trees.

I must say that I find the archery tree much more reasonable this time around.

In DA2, it was weird that the focus for rogues was on single-target high damage while all but 1 Archery talent was an AoE effect lol.

This time, they seem much more grounded, but still useful. Leaping Shot is a bit over-the-top, but I'll live.

That said, I may miss having Varric pin enemies in place!

The final ability in the tree is a massive dmg single target cc  :).

Thank you both. Archer/Artificer with stealth looks like it'll be a thing of beauty.
