I don't think they have a word for it and if they do, we haven't heard it.
All the known Qunlat words are here: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Qunlat

Yeah, the Qunari don`t have a god or gods, they have only a philosophy/code which they live by.

Nope, while I found words for "soul" and for "mastery," and a title meaning "mentor" only given posthumously, there is no word for "god" in the Qun language.

There are no words for concepts they don't understand or care about.

When the Ashkaari looked upon the destruction wrought by locusts,
He saw at last the order in the world.
A plague must cause suffering for as long as it endures,
Earthquakes must shatter the land.
They are bound by their being.
Asit tal-eb. It is to be.
For the world and the self are one.
Existence is a choice.
A self of suffering, brings only suffering to the world.
It is a choice, and we can refuse it.
Asit tal-eb.
It is to be.
That is the closest thing to God that the Qunari seem to have. The concept that everything in the world has its place and when they work as one, true order and unity is acheived, it is as it should be. That seems to be the fundamental principle of the Qun. Unity, cooperation and order.

It's like Drow not having a word for friend nor trust.
There are no words for concepts they don't understand or care about.
I know that's wrong; the drow word for trust is "Khaless."

Interesting was that established after the Dark Elf trilogy?

The Qunari word for "god" is "hissra" which means, "illusion."
That's a really interesting take on their outlook. I wonder for what reason they'd refer to gods as illusions.

Siege of Darkness. No word on "friend," but Drizzt doesn't seem to have any huge trouble with the concept, IIRC.

The Qun seems to focus on the importance of natural order and 'how things should be.' It's a philosophy rather than a religion, just one they're fanatically devoted to.

There are no gods. There is only the Qun.

I must remember it wrong then.Siege of Darkness. No word on "friend," but Drizzt doesn't seem to have any huge trouble with the concept, IIRC.
Drizzt is a very special case of a Drow. He managed to overcome his heritage despite having Wendonai's taint. Guenwhyvar taught him camaraderie, Belwar friendship.
Jarlaxle and Zaknafein were other special cases but they were unable to completely escape. Even the Drow who follow Eilistraee or Vhaeraun still remain in a similar culture to those who follow Lolth.
The common Drow doesn't have friends and never trusts one another. They have alliances of convenience but never friendship. Pharaun Mizzrym was the prime example of a Drow and still is one of my favourite FR characters.

Do i really have to be that guy that really says the answer... ![]()
But really its just because they want to enforce devotion to the whole rather than a single thing. Everyone has a place in the qun, no one is better or worse, all simply have their role. Can't have one / a few supreme beings that are better than everything else, it doesn't mesh ![]()
