That girl is the cutest, but the sexism from "Gaston' is out of order even if he's playing a character. And those are modern "jokes".
I dunno. If art doesn't depict a butthole as what he is, how would you know he's a butthole? The character is sexist and the actor is playing the part (in the most wholesome way possible for the subject and context). I suppose we could adopt Kabuki forms and have him wear some kind of mask and perform some exaggerated interpretive dance routine.

Saying she shouldn't read is understandable because the character does actually say that, it fits the theme and it's wholly exaggerated as I'm sure that little girl does read as have most women for a very long time.
Get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich is a contemporary internet phenomenon, potentially harmful to her, and offensive and unfunny to me. It also has a subjugating tone as he's telling her to serve him, whereas "women shouldn't read" is more along the lines of "women shouldn't play sports".

Yeah... those were not the wisest of jokes to make. Especially in a large public area.

It was harmless.
He played the character well as a misogynistic douchebag.
The girl won't be harmed and visitors should be grateful there's a guy like that there who can stay in character and improvise a lot whilst remaining entertaining. I've seen other videos with him in it and the guy is hilarious.

You don't know that. She believes he's real. There's also a limit whether you're playing a character or not. Obviously he wouldn't swear or yell at her.
Oh he's very good. Banter with children is tough. It helps she seems smart though. But nothing would have been lost if he didn't go crazy with the sexism. We got the point well before get back in the kitchen. And smile like you're making a sandwich doesn't even make sense, it felt roughly shoved in there.

No, there is not. If you are playing a character you are supposed to remain in character the entire time, and if your character tends to be an asshat then you should remain in character in all times. If his character would swear/yell then by all means he should swear/yell at people.
The objectionable part is when you're dealing with children, because you're right to that little girl he is REAL, but it's questionable how harmful he is to her.
Is he the only source she has for those opinions? Do her parents/family support his views? What are her opinions about the character?
Those questions should all be answered before we specifically say that his words will lead to maladaptive behavior in the girl.
Russian security guard takes down a radical feminist. The funny part for me is he is constraining her but it looks as if he is modeling for a photoshoot while doing it.

She went away happy. Saying "stay in the kitchen" to a 4 year old won't even stick with them especially when in later life, they realize the character they encountered was fake. Meanwhile she rejected everything he said because she saw him as the villain he was role-playing.
Regardless, it wasn't "crazy sexism." It should be noted that the guy playing Gaston has always made sexist remarks and he's been there since 2012. No one has complained. Apart from the kitchen phrase, the other things he said were exactly what Gaston says in the movie that women shouldn't read. The exact quote is: "It's not right for a woman to read. Soon she starts getting ideas, and thinking... " If the kitchen phrase is inappropriate then Beauty and The Beast is inappropriate altogether. Gaston says much worst in the movie, suggesting that if he were to marry Belle, she would be massaging his feet as if that's her job as a wife.
Maybe the little girl is sexist for suggesting that The Beast will come and beat Gaston up? Why does the male always have to be hero and where exactly did she get that idea from? Probably from her sexist mother!
No but seriously, if an actor can no longer role-play a character as they're portrayed in a Disney movie because it "offends" some people then society really has become bonkers.
The actor is a legend IMO:

See this is what I don't get. Do people really expect characters in movies or any work of art to be all politically correct? As much as some of these things suck, they can add dimensions to a character.
I don't support the idea that basically States that if an artist explores a theme, he is initially in support of it

I wasn't talking about the movie character. Although yes, children's shows should generally teach good values.

I don't really disagree with that, I just didn't mention that I meant in in this particular case. Adults know what they're paying for- ie. haunted amusement parks.
Yeah I don't know that it is either, that's why I said potentially. It helps that this girl seems to vehemently disagree with him on everything, but she's not every girl.

You don't have to the incredible hulk to tackle a feminist to the ground surely?
TBH he looks like he's in his forties with hair that has prematurely whitened. He looks pretty badass tbh. Personally, if I were him, I'd let my stubble grow to compliment the hair.
Seriously, his expression, his position and the way he wears the suit and watch can easily be used to advertise a clothing brand. Hugo Boss should look into hiring the dude. "When you tackle radical feminists, be a Boss."

Probably one of those psychotic FEMEN harpies. They cause a lot of trouble over in that neck of the woods.
EDIT: Here's an example of what those loons get up to over there for anyone who's unfamiliar with them.

That news piece and the accompanying images belong in the cringe thread.
Those FEMEN aren't just psychotic, they're clearly mentally ill. Even our western radical feminists refuse to associate with them.
