That is what is so awesome, you customize your character, your surroundings, your team, your base and, therefore, your whole game and experience.....the essence of an RPG and that gives it such longevity....i plan to play for years and have a different experience each time

I hope we can interact quite a bit and my guess would be that we can. They have said we are in control of the castle and the castle has an army, right? So we control pretty much everything in it I would think.

I love how we're getting our own castle, really brings me back to classic RPG's like Suikoden. *sighs blissfully* While I loved how DA2 introduced the idea that our companions had more lives outside of Hawke, I missed being gravitated in one spot like the party camp in DAO, so in DAI we're getting the best of both, allowed to have our own place to stay with all of our companions. It's gonna be cool to live in one fat castle with all of them. Now if only they'd release more info and clarify what they mean by "customizing our base completely"...

I think customisation for our Skyhold will be somewhat similar to the system we had in Citadel DLC for ME3. You can get a new bed or throne but you can only place them in one specific area etc. It might me much more than that and I hope it is but I'm just keeping my expectations low lol.

I hope that we'll have the option of having a tavern where the whole team can party. I never played Mass Effect but I saw this video once of Sheppard dancing... I hope my Inquisitor dances like that too

Well there's nothing to disprove it but there's no evidence to support it besides there being a long walkway to the entrance (as seen in the concept art for what is presumably skyhold). Interestingly the statue above the gateway seems to be the lower half of a bound slave as seen by the rope coming down from the wrists.

of course, i would have liked to be able to choose our location for our base, instead of just skyhold, maybe we could have had the choice of a few places to place hq, like the adamant fortress or something....  oh well, after watching the demo again, im starting to really anxious

I suppose we could have had the choice, but we do get to control all the strongholds we take over, right?

We know we can socialize with our advisers at base but hopefully they get their own quarters as well. I am guessing they do since 2 of them are LI's

To be fair that was a DLC, this will be in the actual full game so the expansion will probably be larger than that, plus the DA team is a different one than the ME team.
