I'd love for some trophies from defeated factions to go up as we progress in the game.

Chances are we'll have some sort of battle there because it's such a central location, but I hope it doesn't destroy the castle.

I agree....all my hard work and emotion will go into creating it a haven....This is from the wiki "Players will also be able to customize their keeps which will be able to be customized for espionage, commerce or military might depending on the type of keep the player has chosen. The player will also be given a series of options to affect the area around the keep, such as building statues or capping vents. The player, though, will apparently not have enough resources for all the options available, as the Inquisition's resources are limited."

That sounds so cool, so upgrades, choices and statues! Not sure what "capping vents" means, any thoughts?
I believe it was in the pax demo where there was a valley full of poisonous gas. The inquisitor then had his agents to cap the gas allowing the inquisitor to enter the valley. So it's not actually customising the keep itself but the land around it.
The things you can do with your agents start at 34:45, the option to cap the vents is at 35:16

How will companions and advisers be place when you go to different keeps or are they all just at skyhold. If they are only at the hq who is looking after the keeps?
Not sure but from what I gathered in that video clip from Pax, it shows (at war table) how many men you have at each station - you can check it anytime....but that is just men/troops I imagine your companions and advisors are at your base (pure speculation there)

I'm excited for having our own castle! I'll probably spend more time goofing around at the hq than going off and slaying demons :I xD

This is a great question and made me think about some things that could be cool and how it might work out
1. When entering where our Inquistion have no presence we can't change party member until we establish a camp and that might be involving fighting to take it at least in some areas ex. Emprise Du Lion
2. When taking a keep we maybe introduce to some cool smaller member of the Inquisition
3. During the some E3 interview they said if you choose a mage tower it influences some of the operations you can do which will be cool to along with decorating our bases

doubt it, not enough snow or mountains plus all the Skyhold concept art looks differentIs it possible this might be a fairly close shot of the presumed Skyhold's entryway, or am I making too many assumptions?

OMG check this out! "•Skyhold: Your castle and base of operations, the writer compares it to the Normandy in ME albeit much bigger. Inside There is a tavern, stables, a courtyard, a kitchen, and a dungeon (you can imprison people there) and the war table"

It is for a Dragon Age fan in a Dragon Age forum in a Dragon Age thread.
But it isn't for a Bioware fan in a Bioware thread on a Bioware forum.
