It hasn't proven extremely useful against anyone but the geth, but I've found a supply pylonless demolisher for the feel of being a mobile grenadier that's super cheesy and personally entertaining. Note: I am aware I've probably pissed off a lot of people with it, but that's what PUGs get when they annoy me in the previous game.  Anyhow here's the build I'm using

Edit: I can't get the hyperlink to work properly sorry for technical deficiency.

P.S. If someone can get the build to come up, could they answer the question does this build actually have any gold solo viability for the average player or am I just walking into a death trap?

Demolisher minus supply pylon - is that not just like playing a cloak-less QMI?

That...and I don't see enough Spitfire/Melee action in Crashsuit's build.

Yes that's it. Hmm I kept getting the blank home screen from my computer.

Maybe it's just because I run into very few people that use it right, but the supply pylon seemed to be a trap or liability at best. Definitely a goofy build, but eh.

What's the proper usage? (Not being sarcastic)

I've generally strayed away from the Demolisher due to rampant Geth Scanner addiction.

I recently decided to try out the N7 Demolisher.

Build: Max Everything bar fitness.

Wep: Striker Assault Rifle (level 3) - Stability Mod / Thermal Clip as I'm unsure if the grenade-ammo type actually uses piercing.

Equip: Warfighter III (Assault Damage+Grenade)

Ammo: Cryo (free rifle snap-freezes) or Disruptor (Electro Arc madness).

Now, before anyone comments - I don't have the gear that is deemed 'standard' for regular Engineer play, so I picked whatever I felt I'd be comfortable with... And boy is it fun being a walking detonation machine with infinite ammo and a rifle that knocks back everything in sight, with anims & sounds that make you feel like a mech with an automatic rocket launcher.

Explosive ammo rifle obviously has its own perks (knock mooks out of cover with trick-shots and can also fire up and down over steps or high rise terrain to hit people in the head even if you can't see them. Lack of any CD other than Dispenser means I can use whatever I want. Dispensers are placed right on top of other ammo crates for mass grenade pickup between roaming.

Cryo is lazy as you snap-freeze targets after 1-3 shots but it's fun watching icy explosions.

Played it in Gold and Plat (mostly with me arriving a few rounds late) and still comfortably gathered solid scores despite being behind and focusing more on trying to support people than actually go around killing things with my not so epic level III equipment as a first time Demolisher.

Going to stick with this for a while and see how it goes.

Fair enough there isn't a proper way to use the pylon unless you care about minuscule details some people care about (note not me). What would have been more accurate have would been either the inclusion of  "" or to say players tend to put it out in the middle where there's no cover making a restock or defensive stand suicidal. Is the boost for cruddy hacks like London or occasionally giant worth it,heck yes, but the one time dropping the pylon in front of Uncle Fred hoping he's blind and can't hit us, they seem to forget. One of these days I'll remember to reread what I type to make sure it makes sense without coming off as a jerk.

That's a mysterious statement. The pylon gives extra ammo and nades, and boosts team shields. What's the downside?

He means positioning - And that isn't a fault of the ability - But the derpy muppets who think planting a dispenser in-front of two oncoming banshees and their atlas friends is a really good idea.

Any good Demo will plop it right ontop of a concealed ammo crate - Like FGiant (the crate hidden in the corner) so there's a massive grenade/ammo count in complete safety for everyone to enjoy. I never use it for shields, unless we're in the Hack side-mission where we're not going to be moving for a while.

Exactly. Thank you for translating my I haven't slept for the past 2 days.

Okay, now that I've had a nap, I'll try to clarify myself (thanks for bearing with me instead of getting snarky). IMO, the supply pylon is like repair matrix, stimpacks, to a limited extent biotic charge, and the juggernaut class, there's a false sense of security placed on it. Unlike the above abilities that only instill this feeling on one person, it has the potential to entrap the whole team. Would this hurt a competent team? No, but for the guy who depends on PUGs mostly can't take the luxury of assuming either a.)we won't have a herp derp placement or b.)an understanding of when to run will be universally recognized. After all, PUGs will be PUGs

I can't say that I've ever seen people camping the supply pylon like it's the last stand, but then I still haven't seen everything. Mostly people seem to treat it as an ancillary ammo crate that will also offer a quick shield boost. But no point arguing my experience vs yours.

Super Shield Regen Justicar (I put points in Pull because I CBA to use a Piercing Mod for 17 extra armor damage and the ability to shoot through Guardian Shields)

I literally facetanked two Gold Primes that were 5 feet away from me, and laughed at their pitiful attempts to hurt me.  And it was raining.

She can still Reave > Bubble for biotic explosions, even without the Warp upgrade.  You've got to get closer without the Bubble radius, but since you're inside the Bubble with all that Shield Regen, it's actually pretty safe to do so.

CSMG, Hurricane, Lancer, Mattock, heck I even ran one game with the Indra yesterday.  It's fun being invincible while the Puggernaut lays dead at my feet

I've recently discovered a new marvel.

The Turian Havoc. Especially if you play against geth. Havoc striking and then hearing the satisfying ''cluck'' when you hit is something from another world. Would recommend executing a heavy melee for increased joy. I have no particular build.

My other all-time favourites:

- Alliance Infiltration Unit (for the mobility and melee and booty)

- Krogan Sentinel (melee and powers)

- Drell vanguard (one of my oldest characters, holds a special place. Mobility, melee and Pull-Charge)

- Vorcha Soldier (mobility, melee and bloodlust)

- Vorcha Engineer (same as above, incinerate)

Pull

Lash

I used to completely opt out of those powers but now i'm finding them highly entertaining.

Lashing  geth rocket troopers , nemesis , collector captains ..aah, moments of joy. ( yes, teammates find me annoying perhaps , pfft) .,Pity it doesn't work on armor.

Best phantom killer :) I don't think I'll be using another weapon on her anytime soon.

Melee GI

It's great, I just need getting used to "pulsing" his heavy melee rather than holding the melee key down, and oh yeah, not getting killed all the time :)

Thanks to shadows for both of those.

Javelin GT

Someone mentioned it on BSN...

Also volus engineer with bat. Gauntlet

And any asari, just as a general principle :)

I should go.

6/6/6/5/3 Phoenix "The Cherry picker" Adept. Use Lash to pick the cherry, than Smash it. Do not forget to apply Falcon to the face beforehand to ensure Lash hits. Killing phantoms has never been so much fun.

AIU + Venom Shotgun + Incendiary Warp Ammo.

Situation: Goddess/Cerberus/Gold. Literally around a corner I find two Phantoms. I had the Venom charged already. Then the following happened:

- Fired the Venom at the first one. She dies, and stuns the other one.

- A quick second shot killed the other one.

- I kiss my shotgun and run ahead.

...because **** Phantoms, and freakin' love Venom :D

Acolyte to stun/prime, followed by nades to detonate, lolreegar for bosses; fun on Gold, haven't tried on Plat tho.

Krogan Biotic Facesmasher MkII (Because Krogan decided they won't count to 3 if Valve doesn't)

http://kalence.drupa...53X54384!8FD3CO

Who needs anything more, ever? Sure, it can't reach the shield regen speed of Geth Tank-rooper or Asari Bubblecar, but with those biotic explosions, that shield regen is beyond sufficient. It's melee isn't the strongest but it mostly only needs to melee for follow up attacks to finish something off, or to muscle through an attack, like a brute charge. And of course, with those cooldowns being that short, the gun is basically a formality. But of course, it's a damn good gun so you'll use it anyways.

Alternative Fun Loadout I've been using:

Talon Blastronaught: Nothing too special, just your standard Cain Trip Mine Talon Merc, but with a Venom Shotgun to make even more explosions, stun things while mines prime, knock things INTO mines, etc. Everything goes flying and you'd almost think you were in a low G environment if you had an adept around spamming pull/barrier.

I had a crazy idea

After reading some posts about "Biotic Soldier Justicar" I decided to skip Pull, put a PPR on her, and see what happens.  AoE Reave, then PPR all the glowing blue things with Warp Ammo.  Piercing Hurrdurricane if you're too lazy to mail slot Guardians.  So far it's worked out surprisingly well.
