Saber TGI. I hated the Saber's refire rate and am generally terrible with the TGI but after hearing how much everyone loves the Saber I decided to try it out. Holy hell, I've been playing that kit all wrong! :o

Probably my favorite TGI loadout. Though I slapped the Phaeston on him recently just for grins. Lore bonus!

I found a new CryoSol build people may like:

http://kalence.drupa...!34O53324!.90EG

Downside: No power mod, so a decent drop in DOT power. Cooldowns longer than with the acolyte
Upside: VENOM SHOTGUN, WHO CARES ABOUT THE REST?

But no, seriously, 2.17 second cooldown on Concussives with the Venom 1? Pretty cool with me. Get it? Cool, because cryo build?

... I'll see myself out. *gets concussived in the butt on the way out.*

I've tried it before. It's fun and works OK but doesn't put out the same damage as the one I talked about earlier.

I just begun yesterday to have fun with the saber quarksman, popping those cerberus heads in rythm is priceless. I had a very nice aiming session, hope it was not luck.

Hooo lyyyyy crap. Havoc with gauntlet. Not only is havoc strike into punch incredible for scoring huge hate surfs, but also the havoc double strike trick is freaking amazing with the gauntlet and even easier to pull off than the normal double strike. Seriously the most fun I've ever had with the gauntlet and that includes volus nutbuster.

I replayed the Geth Trooper as a weapon damage platform using the spitfire but I was quickly bored of it. Instead, I experimented with a melee geth trooper soldier and it was surprisingly fun.

Granted, the first few games were terrible as I had to develop strategies for each of the factions.

My preferred TGI loadout is a little.... different. Crazy fun. I like to save the Saber for HM/MM/DM kits.

How'd it go?

I didn't play an actual match with him, just messed around a bit in a private lobby before making a final decision on a build. Conclusions:

1) Jet-powered hatesurfing is the wave of the future. Pun not intended, but now you have to live with it anyway.

2) Though #1 is kind of amazing, I will likely continue to never play this guy. Part of the reason I was excited to try your idea is that I've never been able to think of a reason to play the Havoc rather than a vanguard, because Havoc Strike seems to simply be objectively worse than Charge. I wouldn't mind that if it did something different than what vanguards already do, but it doesn't seem to.

3) I'm always, always low on Strength Amps, only further cementing the likelihood of #2.

Destroyer with a lvl I Spitfire. Don't bother releasing the trigger for the entire match, burn your thermal clips like a gent. Almost cathartic.

Well discounting turian passives and stim packs, there's the double strike trick I mentioned, where he does the strike and heavy melee at the same time with no cool down. It's extra amazing with the gauntlet on. I know the havoc isn't for everyone though, glad you at least tried it out.

PredaDrell.

DA predator, WarpIV. VERY fun gun to use. Accurate, great fire rate, excellent damage in the hands of a Drell Adept.

It was recommended that I try using the Saber on the Quarian Marksman. So many headshots! <3

The marksman + saber combo is ridiculous.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Geth Juggernaut... with the Mantis I.  Started new manifest on PC and got the Jugg as my first rare - very disappointing, but wasn't going to let him go to waste.  This is a very aggressive way to play him and allows you to quickly become proficient at reload canceling and headshot execution.

Build: 0/6/6/6/6 (no hex shield).  Spec turret for all top row (damage/flame), siege pulse for radius, DR, resistance damage.  Fitness for all bottom row.

Protocol: Shoot turret just shy of spawn.  Flamethrower will stagger > Headshot mook > reload cancel with Siege Pulse > fire explosion / more stagger > headshot mook > repeat siege pulse > headshot cycle until all siege pulses are gone.  Be sure to redeploy turret before activating siege pulse to get your charges back.

I've never played the Jugg on my primary manifest, but I've always hated how many Jugg users would spam that ****ing hex shield right inline of my right-hand advantage from softcover.  Using this build, you are much more of an asset, and only have to act as the standard aggro-sponge jugg during objectives or when an otherwise defensive position is being overwhelmed (e.g. camping PuGs).  As an added side bonus, you *should* get the 20 headshot medal nearly every game.

Also recommend using the Javelin or Widow over the Mantis.  But all I have is a Mantis I, QQ.

Nice.

So I suppose you Reave-stun 'em then paste their faces with lazer zaps?

Correcto. Set up your bubble at choke points for bosses, detonate with Reave and finish them off with your CSR.

An oldie but an "I forgot how awesome this is" goodie:

Asari Vanguard with Acolyte, Incendiary Ammo IV, and Biotic Charge can relatively insta-kill Gold Phantoms with one charge + charge combo. Charge the Acolyte, shoot Phantom, Biotic Charge her, she explodes in a Fire Explosion.

Toss a Lift Grenade over your shoulder as you walk away in slow motion.

I dig it.  I haven't gotten into a CSR groove.

So do you scope much with it or generally hip fire with pulse shots?  Suppose that'll depend on their range too.

Yeah, it is very underused for no reason, but it's so OP, people don't even realize it!

Mainly hip-fire it, since I believe it's one of the SRs that doesn't - or has very little hip-firing penalty.

And burst fire of course, if you don't want to spend the wave waiting for your gun to cool off :)
