He always feels Good because he's a turian and they are nice regardless of weapon, but after having felt both turians claymoar turian doesn't feel as good as Raider Turian Soldier in my experience

Yep, this is my experience too. The almighty Claymore is a caster's gun, not a weapon platform one! ;)

I've never tried any character that has no dodge (except for the Juggy - who would actually look like a ballerina if he could "combat-roll")

but I think after so many hours played, it is about time to try these sluggish snails.

Yes, I would definitely advice this. Lots of no dodge characters can be fun as hell :)

Besides, the Quarksman has a dodge and MM. It lacks crowd control, but it's a great choice for the Raider too.

Nonsense. Decapitating everything on the map is great crowd control.

AIU

Well, I thought it was always fun to begin with. But after so many topics of being "OP" or a "crutch" or for "noobs", after getting a fair amount of angry PMs, and after getting booted from enough lobbies, I just kind of stopped using it. But... imo the AIU is so much fun to play. The repair matrix allows you the freedom to get yourself into situations that are just absurd, without penalty.

My ego takes a little blow each time I drop to the ground and bounce back up, but the constant smile on my face from having so much fun makes up for it.

Indeed, she is incredibly fun. Her dodge is the best in the game IMO, extremely fast with no penalty to shield. And the DMG, oh my. I recently unlocked my first X UR, the wraith, and immediately went into a match with the AIU to celebrate.

Never let others dictate their idea of fun to you, as long as yours doesn't harm anyone's.

This support human engineer. Since most people have max cryo and stability amps, this is a use for them.

Should use Piercing Mod instead of HVB.

Why?

Why?

A slightly less recharge time while still having penetrating, giggity, power. Either way, both are good choices.

The damage mitigation is better with the HVB. Cooldown times are not restrictive with the build you showed to merit that choice.

EDIT clarify - I'd take the HVB in most cases.

Piercing mod is better than the HVB on guns like the Lancer, very few AR:s really benefit from the HVB - I Think it's mainly only the PPR and the Typhoon as they have a very fast fiering rate, Lancer and Harrier etc fire to slow to really benefit from it.

Think SMG fire rate for the HVB.

The HVB for AR:s is weird, like the developers don't really understand their weapons.

HVB also does the trick for a scoped GPR (equipped with Targeting VI).

And considering the armor weakening inherent in Cryo IV ammo, I'd likely opt for EB over either option on the Lancer.

Shadow w/ Viper and Talon., aka Free Headshots For Everyone!

Yes, Viper. You need to get headshots with it, otherwise you're just wasting your time, but it can one-shot basic troopers on Gold (well, that's with Sniper Amp III and Disruptor Ammo IV), and with 6 shots per clip and no reload cancelling required, that's a lot of destruction.

Best used against Cerberus.

Two. Meaning 3 mooks per clip. Have fun getting that out of a BW  ;)

Unnecessary weight with practically no benefit when already using Cryo Ammo.

I still find the HVB to be the better choice. I tested that build (overload - 6B only difference) with both. The HVB kills faster and it *seems* to apply cryo more often. Could have been a number of things for that. The making stuff dead faster, though...that was obvious. The added damage bonus is worth it.

HE doesn't need the absolutely fastest cooldown. At least outfitted like this.

That's the minimun for the BW. If you're lucky you can get double if they line up.

cheesy kits are always fun:

Drellguard with a Venom plus nades.

Destroyer with hawk missiles and/or nades  and a Falcon.

Vorcha Engineer with a Scorpion. ( stagger, net , burn... repeat at will ) .

Human Sentinel with an Acolyte plus throw, throwthrowthrowthrow, throoooooow, throw. .. warp... throw throw throw.. warp? ...hmm, naah.. throw throw throw..

but never anything Reegar and super rarely anything flamer .

Uhh... obvious, you say? With HVB you deal whopping 4 points of damage more per bullet.

I'd rather have 0.5 s faster cooldowns. And I don't usually care that much about cooldowns.

Bypassing 90% of armors effectiveness is obvious. Whatever. Use what you want. I won't judge.

90% vs. 0% would be obvious, but that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about 96.5% (HVB + Cryo Ammo IV) vs. 87.75% (Piercing Mod + Cryo Ammo IV), which is insignificant.

Just curious how this is calculated. I didn't realize Cryo IV had such an impact here. Also, does every Cryo round hit vs. armor apply the bonus, or only ones that successfully prime?

Yeah, I probably should have corrected that to *my* BW. It's around a V, so a HS on a mook will take them to ~30% HP.
