meh. I know it can be great on TSol, I just prefer 1 shot high-powered sniper rifles like the Javelin or the Widow.

I recently realized the utility of the vorcha heavy melee in decapitating/disarming abombs. Adding in anti-armor fire powers make collector matches breezy compared to many other set-ups. In my experience pugs will tend to focus fire on troopers, captains and praetorians allowing my melee-spec vorcha to play to his strengths and wipe out abombs and scions.

In my experience pugs will tend to tunnel vision whatever happens to be directly in front of them with no situational awareness or desire to move when repeatedly downed in the same location

This is amusingly true. I suppose I meant when I play with decently aware pugs which happens more often now that fewer people are just casually trying out this game.

My Turian Cabal has been a lot of fun to learn (I'd also say it has increased my knowledge of this game, too) this week on Silver. I find her movements and powers a lot of fun! I don't have courage to take her to Gold, yet, as I don't want to be a liability..
Currently, my best available gun for her is the Disciple, 'The Blammo'. Zip through walls, sap the enemies.
I.e. shoot, nightshade blade, poison strike, shoot during cooldowns. Repeat. Zip into the next area. ![]()

I tried a Lifting shockwave/Nova build for one of my novaguards earlier. Whilst it's hard work against armour, it's a fun build. I enjoyed playing a vanguard in a completely different manner to normal.

Asari Huntress specced completely for melee with Eviscerator + Omni-blade, Hydraulic Joints, and Strength Enhancers.
OOOOHH. YEAH.

I still buy it every five seconds, but it's the only kit where I've been able to wipe out two Phantoms at once without rage-missiling (which is of course reserved for dragoons).

I used to always detonate DS on the Collector Adept. Lately i haven't ( thus no cool down ) - yellow green on enemies looks great - and I spam DC on top of it with a light sprinkle of bees. Then i dodge a lot because i like to fly and feel like a little fairy .

Super late response to this, but I just slapped it on QFI one day and it felt pretty amazing to have that stopping power without having to use a scoped weapon, and 8-14 rounds a clip.

Try it on the GE or any other kit that allows an increased rate of fire, it makes the gun so much better.

Hunter Mode's accuracy bonus is also a huge deal, as it eliminates Saber's bullet spread - which is significant at max ROF - entirely.

And the combo "overload/headshot" oneshots any mook (and the stagger makes it quite easy).
A good alternative on this build is the Paladin

Yeah, in theory Paladin is even slightly better on GE (it certainly is on most "casters"), but I prefer the feel and large mag that Saber has. It's just more convenient, and I find that not having to break the rhytm constantly leads to better hit percentage, as it's easier to plan ahead and anticipate enemy movement.

The on host Juggernaut with an incendiary Reegar is completely OP.SP mooks and cook the rest.With my limited manifest it makes gold lol easy.
He is OP offhost too.

I'm a highly mediocre GI. Also pretty iffy with the N7 Valkyrie. Yet my Valkyrie GI with Drill III ammo went way better than I expected.
The stab mod helps immensely. Next time I think I'll swap out the EB for a larger clip size and use AP ammo instead. Got a lot of finishing prox mine kills after running out of my clips -- with just a sliver of armor left on Brutes, Ravagers, etc.

I've seen you play with cyclonics but IMO, stabilization is just too good to pass as you can head shot across the map on Rio. Platinum probably needs AP4 ammo and stronghold gear.

That's in the same vein as my Lancer SI. Great way to use stab mods...without needing that cyclonic.

I remember really enjoying AJA Venom w/ Incendiary Ammo - a little cheesy, but its fun to charge a group of incendiary-primed pooks, get the fire explosion with Biotic Bubble and then get biotic explosions with Reave afterwards. It could be done with any weapon - but staggering works best.
