Sniper build QFI with a Krysae and normally incendiary or disruptor ammo, though you could always try cryo for the amusement factor.  As you'd expect, it's absolutely monstrous against Geth, though it also does well against Cerberus and Collectors/Reapers (with incendiary).  I think the sabotage stagger does a lot to offset the painful RoF of the Krysae, and the crowd control is just top notch.

 

I know it's not like the old Krysae, but it's still pretty damn good.

I did the same recently, but with the QMI. Incendiary area priming + Arc Grenades is greatly effective against Geth and Cerberus, and very decent against the 2 other factions.

Platinum >> Gold.  Builds change dramatically.  Gold is for scrubs.  A helpful link.  A second link.  Note the shield recharge field.

 

Please explain why it is dumb.  In fact, on boss armor damage (the only damage that matters) the difference is even less because of Incendiary

I can watch video while Platinuming, what do you think I can do while deigning to drop down to Gold?  I could probably masturbate at the same time to make it more enjoyable and not mind numbingly boring.

 

Particle Rifle certainly won't kill mooks faster, especially through walls.  The Particle Rifle is just to give him something to do during hacks and away from ramps.  In fact, the Particle Rifle is not the main weapon, and he rarely needs it. 

 

You are too fixated on playing it too safe.  The same guy who in that other thread thought krogan only rarely melee.  Not surprising.  You must be one of those players who when trying Platinum hides in a corner getting owned and missiles on the first wave.  (Btw, I don't "try" Platinum, I always Platinum)

 

This is actually the very 1st time during my admittedly short tenure in BSN that I can *feel* E-dong so monstrous it's reaching out from the screen and slap me on my face.

While I share the feeling, you could at least point that error out. Glad you guys have fun throwing sh** at each other, but it wasn't too constructive for someone relatively new like me, for example, and it sure doesn't help your own argument.

 

Anyways, I'd like to know what the error was and also if I understand correctly that Kalence has some problem with displaying damage correctly when, what, AP stat / ramp up weapons / something else is involved?

 

I think I should create a thread on frequently emerging misconceptions and kalence errors - two things that should help newcomers trying to figure out builds themselves, like me...

 

P.S. Besides, ramming unshielded phantoms into walls sounds like fun indeed.

I had a quick look through Peer of the Empire's posting history on BSN yesterday, after reading this thread.

The only way I have actually enjoyed playing the kroguard 

Charge > detonate barrier (if bonus power gets activated)

Charge > melee (otherwise)

 

Or you can just detonate barrier and melee the ragdolled enemy into orbit. Quite fun. (25 biotic kills and 25 melee kills must )

Cryo soldier with CSMG and Acolyte. It sounds a little ridiculous but it works great and makes a lot of sense once you try it out. It's like a power caster build but with concussive shot and grenades.

I tried this out the other day, and suddenly felt like I'd been playing Cryo Soldier all wrong right up to that moment. This is the funniest, most balanced Cryo Soldier build I've ever used. I might have to respec with just 2 in Adrenaline for the CSMG recharge. I also finally have a use for Expert Package and all my SMG amps.

Sounds somewhat similar to an alternate HuEng build I'm messing around with at the moment.

 

I wanted the female to be different to the male, so I took neural shock and incinerate 6a to create a Cryo ammo user with lots of CC.

 

I still haven't settled on a final weapons loadout, but CSMG + ULM'd scorpion is great at applying cryo ammo to follow up with incinerate, and it can still get FE's reliably.

I'm converted to the no-devastator mode build. I thought I'd miss the power and it'd be too weak, but it does pretty good. It's like a god of earthquakes. I named mine The Noisemaker.

I've dealt with Striker's annoyance, therefore, I take damage barrel.

Platinum Krogan Warlord

 

Hold sprint + melee to do the classic krogan heavy melee.  Enemies killed by it trigger Rage in 1 kill.

 

4k barrier damage on acolyte means 1 shotting platinum phantom barriers, which means a heavy melee follow up will kill them instantly.

 

Particle Rifle to do leet boss and hack/escort dps.  Regular armor pen for better cooldowns isntead of hvb; the difference in charged damage is less than 10% body shots and less than 4% headshots

 

Ridiculous recharge time of 14.40 seconds on Biotic Hammer is actually just fast enough to play Ramplord.

 

Triple tap melee with Biotic Hammer is enough to one shot Ravagers if incendiary ammo has been applied to them.  Orgasmic when they are next to each other

 

The "Krogan Pyjack Platinum Build" (i.e. acolyte KroSol) was bad enough, but now you're advocating using a damn space-stripper peestol on the Warlord??!! You've gone too far. Throw this baby pyjack out the airlock. 

 

Oh, and extra LOL points for you trying to condescend to OTHER PEOPLE about how you should play a Warlord, when you equip a freakin' acolyte on yours (!!!). Those in glass houses my friend, those in glass houses.
