I wonder how good Cass is at the game anyways. She's been in Orlais for awhile. She seems more up my alley though. Would rather just choke someone than play around with words.

 

edit: I can't help but see a lot of Aveline in her.. but not as controlled.

From the little I've seen of her I don't think she really has the temperament to be very good at the game.

 

Edit: Actually I could see her cool being lost very quickly if things were only getting worse and worse with the fade tears. Well not lose her cool but not have the patience to deal with the politics for it.

It dawns on me, do we even know for certain that party members follow you around like they used to? Its hard to tell in those demos.

 

Because if not, non party member romances don't really have the same disadvantage that they used to have.

From what I've seen there appears to be no difference yet from how DA2 and DA:O did it. Unless the banter is coming from disembodied voices.

Well it's unfortunate that you find it insulting, though I can understand feeling disappointed.  In any case, hopefully upon playing some of your concerns are assuaged.

 

To be honest this whole issue seems a bit like entitlement. 

 

People feel they have the right to romance whichever character they want, and that excluding a certain option is somehow insulting or offensive. Questions of representation (as in, do men/women and same-sex/opposite-sex romances get relatively fair billing) are a pretty different issue to whether everyone deserves to romance every character - because fundamentally, that's the writers' decision and it should be in the interests of the story.

 

I can understand disappointment, but some of the histrionics are just way over the top.

I'm really excited and intrigued to see the Orlesian Ball(s). I know we go to one at the Winter Palace to find and stop an assassin but Vivienne also throws us an introduction party to recruit her(I'm not sure if their the same or different parties). I just want to see how the story and dialogue plays out. Also, we are bringing dates to the balls is that correct?

I don't believe it was ever anywhere near the majority of people, though. It always seemed to me that just as many people like all bi and basically as many didn't seem to care either way. I didn't notice a substantial majority complaining, at least not in the last few months. I joined before sexuality gating was announced and it seemed, before the announcement, most people assumed it would be all bi again and only a handful seemed to have a vocal, negative opinion about it.

I always play Male Elfs first play through and havent really had a female elf for my male elf

Her boobs are too low down her body. But if you take into account her armour , then it does make sense.
