I find myself wondering how Sera reacts when cheated on with a man as opposed to cheated on with a woman.

A lot. A lot lot lot.

I'm not disputing this, but I've yet to find a single woman who thinks that m/m action is hot, so I don't think it's as prevalent as f/f 'appreciation' amongst men.

I agree, what if we were companions, I love it!

I think I might start a thread like that actually though I wouldn't really know where to put it....hmmm on second though someone who knows this playground better than I should do it. Would be fun making a thread like that and listing what complaints people might put up about your in game self xD

Edit: more offtopic I know I'm sorry. I don't think I have an ingame self yet sadly theres no extremely hyper (yet very lazy) smartass easily hateable companion that I can think of off hand hmmm. Though if I was an character I'm sure I'm make most players pull their hair out >>

(I'll stop being off topic now sorry everyones)

I love Morrigan as a character. She's easily one of my favorites in the whole series.

Let me try to find a SFW example...

I had the Safety Filters on...and still got a bit of an eye full.  You might not know any women in person that enjoy yaoi, but there is a lot of it out there.

If you're feeling brave, just type Yaoi tumblr into google.

I would imagine just as hurt since she'll be cheated on either way so I'm not sure what difference that makes but then again I'm someone who has no clue on their own sexuality and only knows one bi person who takes cheating very seriously regardless of if they get cheated on by a man or woman.

Me too, but to me that's the sign of a well-written character: The amount of strong emotional impact they have on the player.  If folks were crushed and felt back-stabbed by Morrigan, then the writing team/VA team did their job.  If folks (such as you and I) adored her friendship and/or romance, then the teams did their job.   :D

I played WH.  Plenty of folks did and there is still a lot of "I trusted her/She betrayed me!" talk going on.  So I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Pretty much. Aagh, I like this game too much.

Alistair is my closest companion analogue. A what companion are you thread could be fun.

I'd probably be a combo of Wynne and Merrill. I really like giving advice and preaching at people but in reality I'm just confused most of the time.

I doubt the scenes for cheating will be different if it's with a man or a woman, honestly.

There are women in this very thread who find m/m action hot.

Hahaha, there is definitely an audience for it, I do think it's probably larger in the male population though.

So, your gay/bi friends never talk about their relationships?  Or do you never talk about your boyfriend/girlfriend (not assuming gender here)?
Sexuality isn't just about sex, it's about relationships as well.

They do. One of them is married to another wonderful man whos a cook and always feeding me :-) but they dont talk about their private lives so much. Theyre all over each other and I think its beautiful and happy for them. But its not something I consider for myself.

Several people participating in this conversation right now are women and find m/m hot.  So, now you've met some.

I know a lot more men that will actively and shamelessly admit to watching porn, generally, than I do women. It's more socially acceptable for men to be open about it.

That being said, I've met several women that think m/m is hot. My boyfriend and I have even had girls ask to take pictures of us randomly in the park once because we were "so cute".

People are much more forward on the internet. It's not something most women advertise unless they are part of that culture.

Fujoshi - rotten girl is not exactly a term of endearment.

That probably has something to do with the fact that men are more encouraged to be open about their sexuality compared to women.

Beat me to it.

And ugh, that sucks. Queer fetishization is definitely a problem.

I don't know, stealing you soul and selling it to you arch-nemesis seems a bit more ultimate of a betrayal to me...

Me being an ass aside, I think that many people would tend to agree with you. Betrayals of trust are always terrible.

So, you've never talked about anyone you're dating?  Ever?  That's a part of someone's sexuality as well.  They talk about their private lives (relationships are considered a part of one's private life,) they just don't share the details of their sex lives with you.

I guess I can't understand what the hang up is.

As far as I know, I've never been cheated on.  However, it wouldn't matter if it was from a man, or from a woman: being betrayed like that in a monogamous relationship is crushing.

I know I'm not part of this conversation but I would like to say that doesn't sound all that unlikely to me, the most my best friend talks to me about dating is that she'll sometimes remember to mention that she has a partner at the time and thats about it. Though I probably see my friends a lot less than Xetykins sees theirs but its not entirely impossible to not talk about dating to your friends or relationships in general.
