Looked at second link first "aww so cute he's playing with a little elf child"
Looked at first link "ooooh that wasn't supposed to be a little kid...awkward...still pretty cute though..."

On that topic, I had an audible WTF at the M/M Zevran scene when the Warden wasn't the top. Which, (1) clearly seemed to me to be the case because they probably recycled the M/F animations and (2) introduces a pretty clear issue of how the sex scenes are super unimaginative in how people actually have sex.
I think Warden's only on the bottom if you're an elf ![]()
Oh, she totally looks better than Grumpy McSteroids, who is clearly audition for the role of Goliath in Gargoyles. I just totally missed the thread of the conversation and thought you were saying the pose wasn't sexy/sexualized.
I don't think it's a submissive pose at all.
Lmao that's a rather apt description. Nah it's a sexy pose but I tend to prefer my fem characters attractive and powerful. Flemeth's new outfit didn't bother me (though Isabela's lack of pants did it doesn't help her outfit is so bland).
I also like my dudes well dressed though and not looking like conan the barbarian so I'm clearly an outliner.
I mean I just didn't see weakness in her posture or her body.

Seriously? Come to think of it, I was using my Elf Warden...
That's still stereotyping.
You do not have to be the taller partner to be the top.

Hey, I'm with you on male aesthetics. Attractive characters to me are not the equivalent of Sylvester Stalone yoga pants.
XD
But dwarves aren't taller than elves...Just...thicker. *eyebrow waggle*
Yeah DHMG is the one male I find most appealing in the male companion line up so far. Ah well. I was bound to strike out eventually.

He bottoms if the Warden's a dwarf. It's not the height, it's the perceived manliness that determines it. Elves are effeminate, while humans and dwarves are masculine. It's still stereotyping, and it's still wrong, but height's not actually a factor in this case.

Fair enough. My point was just that this is a novel kind of problem for romance scenes, if they're being done, that require the developers to think outside of the box if they don't want to portray a particular kind of problematic interpretation of S/S relationships.
These feel like they should be here.
Spoiler
Reminds me of Shepherd waking up from another nightmare, and Garrus is sitting by her side, reading.
I really wanted a reading scene in the Fenrismance. *sigh* If only they had more time. ![]()

Fenris is dark and broody and not very nice, but I love the scene where he regains just a bit of his memory. Wanna reach into the screen and give the poor guy a blanket and something hot to drink.
I'd find that rather interesting to see, if it ever came down to m/m romance discussing their bedroom sidequest together. The 'who's on top' conversation. Granted, I don't think that'd ever be featured, nor animated ('cuz resources of switching positions), but there is certain stereotyping going on if only the perceived 'less hypermasculine' character bottoms. ME3's scene with DudeShep and Kaidan was pretty nice and ambiguous enough. Kaidan does push DudeShep back onto the bed and climbs on top, but they roll and switch positions several times before the fade to black, no real established positions.
The 'who's on top' conversation
Please no.

Granted, I don't have a problem with who tops. I kinda head canon that my human mage is really tall and Dorian's on the shorter side. However, Dorian always tops.

Yeah. Dat kiss in act 3 though. *fans self* That freaking pounce. So worth all the brooding til that point.
And yeah I wanted to give him a hug too. ![]()
Though the who's on top convo...I much rather ftb again for that reason. FemSW is always on top
(What? I like dom chicks).

Goliath was much more handsome than Iron Bull. IB kinda looks like a Beat Box (Brazillian UFC training camp... Thiago Silva, Bigfoot Silva) fighter. Califlower ears, scars, and weirdness because it looks like a few bones in his face have been broken.
Not my thing physically, but based on the MAYHEEEEEM banter alone I will probably still roll a Quizzy to romance him at some point.

Maybe at some point in this conversation the characters could also invent oral sex. The Inquisitor could then be a hero for two reasons: (a) saving the world from a literal apocalpyse; and (
introducing more awesome ways to have sex.
Dragon Age II still has the best sex scenes. They aren't the most *sexy* scene, but each one is a reflection of the character's personality. Isabela is playful and rambunctious, Merrill is tentative and sweet, and Fenris is having hate sex even when he's not angry.
It's fine for a sex scene to be erotic and have nudity, but it should also convey something more than 'they had sex and it was hot.'
(Personally, I expect the Iron Bull's sex scene to feature lots of wall banging and the bed breaking in half at the end.)
I agree, though ME3 Kaidan's male romance sex scene was the best, in my opinion. And I would like to see the scenes in DAI be a reflection of the LI's personality as well.
I really wanted a reading scene in the Fenrismance. *sigh* If only they had more time.
That would have been nice but DA2 was a little lacking in the romance department since you couldn't really talk to your LIs unless there was a quest telling you too and if I remember right only Anders and Merrill had a romance exclusive scene which was odd in and of itself. (also teaching Fenris to read should NOT have been a flirt *grumble grumble*)

That had to be my second favorite romance scene of ME3 was just so sweet :')

I'm pretty sure that already exists. If that use the feather conversation is anything to go by. ![]()

Just for reference, that convo was about this random dude qunari from one of the Isabella/Varric/Alistair comics. Though your comments also apply to random dude qunari.

Whoops. That is what I get for only reading the last few pages. Sorry about that.

That kind of makes sense though. Fenris is a very private and prideful person. Him only letting a romance Hawke see him that vulnerable is fitting. With friendship or rivalry it could be Fenris tentatively trying to reach out despite walking out that night and giving Hawke plenty of room to reject him while still wanting to have some of Hawke's attention and affection.

Apparently only that guy is aware it exists. ![]()
Also, it never occurred to me that that's what the reference with the feather was all about. But then I haven't ever used a feather, so what do I know?

True! That was just an assumption on my part ![]()
