Can anyone think of a more pleasant topic, please? It would be most appreciated.

Maybe... But you know ? If Sera was bi there wouldn't even be a discussion here. Because everyone would be happy, straight people and ****** people or people who are role playing etc etc. Instead of this... well this is what's happening now. Bioware knew it would end up like this, but they did it. I pretty sure Sera isn't an important character to the main plot, why they didn't write her bi just like every character in DA2 (maybe Merril was straight). Theodoric is saying it's because of the animations, ok but was that a problem in DA2 ?
DA2 had only one race with genders female and male. This meant that there had to be 8 animations for 4 bi LI's. In Inquisitor we have 4 race with 2 genders and more LI's than DA games before so at least 6. This would mean 48 animations for 6 bi LI's. That much more than DA2 had so no wonder they are going to restrict them with sexuality and race.
What does ****** mean?
Oh I wrote ho...m...o people (both gay and lesbian), lol don't worry it was nothing bad.

Also, DAI presumably will have include more physical interaction with the love interest.

Ok thanks, you re right, I forgot about the quanari or the dwarve, in DA2 we had just humans so yes less animations. Sometimes life is hard, no Sera ![]()
Ok Bioware I m done with you I will buy The Witcher 3 ![]()

That's what I heard as well. For example, hugging seems to be overlooked in the series, due to possible technical issues. Hopefully, with the new engine and newer tech, they'll be able to give us those little moments like that.

IDK, where were you (and all these others that are upset about this) when the 'all bi' system from DA2 was a huge point of contention on these forums? It got a lot of negative flack for being 'unrealistic' among other things. I was around for years supporting it...often times I would be the only one in the thread arguing for the system.
I'm so glad to see all this new support for it ![]()
I could go back to the 'Fight for the Love' movement from ME3 where many (including myself) were fighting just get s/s characters just put in the game. I wonder, during those many many arguments over s/s romance in ME3, were all these people who are now upset over how unfair it is to have a lesbian character in DA:I?
Some people act like BW has never done anything like this...never denied people options due to gender.
They have many times since BG2..it just hasn't affected you yet so now you care.

Out of likes for the day, but this.
I will do this for the trophies if you have to romance every character, I played as a female in DAO for Zevran and Alistair. But you know when a play a game like DA or ME I role play a lot, the character is me so I have to play as a male first, I m too invested in the game.
I feel you, I immerse myself in my character, too. But a character's sexuality isn't worth getting frustrated over and calling out BW on it. The game is more than that, and romancing someone you didn't find initially attractive really isn't so bad...Bioware writes their characters in ways that make them fulfilling based on what their unique personalities and backgrounds can offer you.
When I introduced my friend to DA:O, despite being a mostly straight female, she was first really frustrated that her female Warden couldn't romance Morrigan, who she initially considered more way more attractive and interesting than Alistair/Zevran. But of course she got over it, and eventually romanced Alistair, and what do you know, she is now a huge fan of that pairing. Because Alistair turned out to be just as compelling in his own way. She wouldn't have realized that if Morrigan was conveniently bi and she had her way with her.
Relax, DAI is going to be good regardless of these people's sexualities...
I don't believe a new engine makes that problem go away. In fact it may make it worse, since you are required to be more detailed than last gen. Cross-gen games tend to drag in the worst aspects of everything as well as limit current gen potential.
Well, you take the risk to have a lot of angry people about this choice, so you shouldn't complain that people are bitching about it because you knew it would end like this. Bioware and some of you should just accept that a lot of people aren't happy.
I'm pretty sure Bioware doesn't have a problem with people not being happy

Realistically, I think people who support a system are far less likely to post in support of it than people who are against it are to post against it. This is why we see posts in favour of things that, before they were cut, people posted against.
I'm pretty sure Bioware doesn't have a problem with people not being happy
They will have a problem if EA are not happy.
I still prefer Sera how she is, but I'd question the spread of characters.
I want to ask you: Would you be upset if Sera had been a completely straight LI? Not available to women. Just men.
I will be honest with you: no I would be happy.
It's selfishness yes I know and it's bad, but bi would made happy everyone. I don't know if Scribbles is a LI, if it's the case I would prefer to get ride of her and make Sera a male LI too, so we would have Cassandra, Vivienne and Sera, instead of 3 humans I prefer 2 humans and 1 elf, and I m pretty sure a lot of male Inquisitors here would like to have Sera because she seems really different (I love her artwork where she's crazy).
Ok everyone keep it civil now. Really im sad about not having Sera for my Melf but ya know what im not angry about it. Its kinda like being told you cant have your favorite candy sure its a lil dissapointing at first but you know what? Theres a Butterfinger just around the corner and it will be sweet and buttery and just as good as that Snickers!
Furthermore i mean we know next to nothing about most of these companions personalities i mean i may have wanted Sera based on the fact that shes an Elf but once i got to knew her i may have hated her ha ha. Im just saying try not to judge too early and look like a jerk and make other people feel bad just because your disappointed. If your really upset for what you feel is a valid reason go post in feedback.
They will have a problem if EA are not happy.
And I'm definitely sure EA wouldn't care if some people are unhappy about a characters sexual orientation
I think I'm done here.I will be honest with you: no I would be happy.
I think I'm done here.
-high fives-
I'm sorry but I am baffled at how shallow and ignorant this whole thing is going. You can reread the whole thread and all you see is just an endless argument between
"playersexual or not?"
"I want that character to have this sexuality because I have this sexuality aka I am a straight male and I want that pretty girl to be at least straight"
"I am going to cry about Sera because I can't bang her and I find everybody unattractive weeee"
Can't we use a seperate thread that is called "Sexual orientations and co." or something?
I want to read discussions about romance and not arguments with people who refuse to acknowledge the existence of people who are not straight and want to continue to live in their perfect, little world, where every pretty girl is heterosexual. We get it. You're disappointed. Move on. Geez.
You guys don't even know the characters personliaties, just sit tight and wait for the freaking game.
TOPIC CHANGE:
Do you guys think a romanced LI will get an optional new unique set of armor/clothes like in DA2? Would you want that?
Would you want something similar to the Citadel DLC in ME3, where you could spend some freetime with your loved one, or go on a date? Date sounds strange in the Dragon Age universe, if I think about it. But if commander Shepard had time during the apocalypse to go on a date, the inquisitor should have time for a lovely picnic with a nice view of a catastrophalic rift, I say.
