Honestly, I'm not all that passionate about this topic, especially as it's off topic for the Romance thread, but no, his ears are pointier than most other humans in DA2 and the bridge of his nose is more elf like.  I thought it was subtle but apparent that he looked like his mother.

It's not a huge deal, but it would be cool, that's all.

He does look a bit like his mother but not in any non-human way.

Don't get me wrong I always think it's cooler when mixing between humans and fictional species actually looked mixed but I just don't really see it in Feynriel. His ears aren't so pointy you would assume elf, and there's probably other npc humans with ears like that.

Isn't the 9th companion almost guaranteed to be Cole though? I thought he might also be a decent romance when I saw him but apparently he... has a reason he can't be that I can't say without the spoiler thingy which I also don't know how to do.

I know almost everyone knows but I saw someone getting a dressing down for revealing this very piece of information.

I like Bethany, she was sweet and I wish I could have had her in the party more instead of her disappearing off to the circle but Carver was an a**hole to my Hawke. He had some chip on his shoulder about being a younger brother or something that I really don't care about. I almost took him to the Deep Roads without Anders... but I didn't

Well, it's not a spoiler to say that David Gaider has said that Cole has a child like mentality and no concept of sexuality, so it's highly unlikely that he'd be romanceable (if blond rogue is Cole at all, it's pretty likely, but not one hundred percent guaranteed).

And while I like both Hawke siblings, getting to know Carver, and gaining his respect, was one of my favorite parts of DA2.  Maybe it's because I have two brothers, but it was very rewarding to me to have him on my side at the end of the game, both as a Grey Warden and Templar.  I think it's unlikely that we'll see Bethany or Carver again, but that would be awesome, even as a cameo.

Out of all companions, the fact that there was no 'hug' option for Carver whenever you wanted made me the saddest.

If Cullen is romancable but not a companion, I wonder if that could mean there may be other characters who aren't companions, but who can be romanced by the main character.

I guess I didn't give him a chance then. I only played as a mage once (it's fun but requires a lot of micro-managing battles which is difficult on a console) so I didn't really get the chance.

A recent article says the some of the advisers can be romanced. Since there are only three, Cullen being a known LI and Leliana is known to not be available, it has led many to speculate Scribbles will be an option.

I don't have any hopes of seeing Bethany and Carver in DA:I... if only because of the fact that there are 9 different possible versions of them there could be AND without a true imported game, Inquisition would have no idea what preset to use...

Apart from flings, from what I've read, it seems unlikely anyone other than the 12 people in the poster are likely to be romanceable. I personally don't know many characters from the series that weren't included prominently in the games. I haven't read the books yet. You could marry Anora in DA:O but it wasn't exactly a romance (was it? I never did it). Maybe you could end up with the Empress.

I mainly wanted to hug him when he tried being big and important. Seriously when you run into him during the qunari invasion there should have been an interupt when he gets all douchy. "Well if it isn't my sister-" "CARVER, BABY BROTHER DON'T WORRY, YOUR SISTER IS HERE TO SAVE YOU COME INTO MY BOSOM AND CRY AS HARD AS YOU NEED TO!"

That's pretty much what it means, really. But I only really see Scribbles as one.

I didn't know they did that until I came across it on DA Wiki. Apparently they try to match face shape and skin colour (which is better than being the only black child in an all white Cousland family) but they still looked nothing like my blond-haired blue-eyed Hawke (until he shaved his head and got a face tattoo in act three after acquiring the Mantle of the Champion)

Also, if you have any chargen mods (EVERYBODY does) it messes with the family generator. So that might be what makes it so hard to get a match sometimes. It would've been cool if they have thought of linking the hair colors too. I usually just headcanon that Hawke just got some lucky recessive genes from his parents.

 I MADE A FAQ.

((All the Amells have black hair...Hawke is an outlier and should not have been counted...))

The only person I'm sure I want as a LI is Varric. Don't get me wrong, as I do love Sera.  However, I keep getting a "big-sister" feeling towards her, which is never conducive as a romance for me.

If I'm going by the blurbs and aesthetics, then I'm curious about Dorian.  While I've stated before that I suspect that he's the gay LI, I wouldn't argue if he was bisexual.  I think his potential story looks really interesting, the bit I caught of his VA sounded classy, and he has a nice look.

If Dorian or Varric are not available, then I'll be happy to wait and see who's personality I like the best.   :)

I'm almost certain it was stated somewhere that there were only 3 advisers, but, just in case I'm wrong, are we sure there are only 3? It could just be that those 3 are your main advisers and there are others that Bioware just hasn't been showing us. Cameron Lee stated in an interview that Morrigan would be something like the magic adviser to the Inquisition, and you could have someone like Dagna who heads engineering and research.

I don't think Dagna will actually appear though. It kinda seemed like she was just included in flavor text for the Stronghold customizations.

Happy to be wrong of course, but... Dwarven ladies have a habit of disappearing in this series.

As in DuPuis? The guy trying to solve the case of the disappearing women by abducting and abusing his sister while using blood magic that I mistakenly killed before finding out he was innocent? Huh?

Given the inclusion of Cullen and Leliana as the other two advisers, I get the feeling that 'Scribbles' is likely another former Chantry member.

It's more of a political marriage than a romance, and I think the developers said ruling Orlais wasn't an option for the player.

Didn't someone say they went through a demo at PAX in which you actually met with Dagna?

Also here's the image that confirms Dagna will be at least mentioned

Now it could just be that she gives you some schematics at some point in the game, but it could also imply that she has some sort of engineering role within the Inquisition.

Also the interview I was talking about (originally found in the Sera thread). I'm not quite sure where 2:35 is roughly where he mentions Morrigan, but it's in there.

Just a small interjection from a German native speaker you aren't 'schadenfreude' but you are 'schadenfreudig'. 'Schadenfreude' is a noun, the corresponding adjective was never Germanized.

I was wondering how this is pronounced. Totally off topic but I always find myself curious on pronunciation of other language since I had to learn pronunciation growing up (I had a really bad Japanese accent when I spoke English -scoffs-) . I need to know how to pronounce every new word I see. It's been driving me crazy not knowing this one

..this looks like she's working directly for us and checking out areas to see if they're safe. (Or building the things we use to make 'em safe)

I think the person meant Gaspard, Celene's political rival. Gascard also wasn't looking for his sister; that was just a story he told to cover up what he was really trying to do. The truth is that he was Quentin's apprentice. He can change, if Hawke is diplomatic or aggressive enough.

Dorian does look handsome and interesting but although the moustache is EPIC, I'm not sure  my Inquisitor would want to kiss it. I just hope he is, as you say, classy rather that OTT flamboyant. There's nothing wrong with flamboyant but the stereotype is sooo old. Anyone could win me over, except Varric who had his chance in DA2 to impress me. He's a cool guy but maybe a bit too cool for school if you know what I mean. If he were a real live person, he'd be well aware of how much people love him and he'd love that they do. He's like the dwarf Fonzie.

Give me a Kaidan or an Alistair or a Steve please... or a Gay Vega. Now THAT I could get behind. ;)

Actually, Marethari explicitly says in front of Hawke that she doesn't think the Eluvian should be researched or rebuilt. and that it should stay buried. Therefore, I'm willing to put my trust in the person who actually researched the Eluvian, over the person who apparently didn't.

I was talking about Hawke's (and everyone else's) right to criticize her. She was using blood magic to restore a mirror that she knew was dangerous and that her own keeper advised against, strongly.

I don't see why assuming she knows what she is doing because she has apparently done more "research" is a reasonable position to take and as it turns out it wasn't.
