I didn't might the mako on story missions, i just got tired of all the driving on random planets stuff.
I must be weird because I never got tired of that.In games with big open areas I just like going off the beaten path and seeing what I can do and find.
So the planets never got boring for me.
Hmm must have missed that I only recall him making a pass at Wynn for knowing her liquor and for getting giddy like a highschool boy if you have a threesome with Isablea and Leliana. But I'll take your word on it, its been a while since I've played Origins since I've switched over to the PC
He makes passes at Wynne, Morrigan, and Leliana. He'll peak in on a female warden sleeping with a female prostitute regardless of the warden's race, and he mentions that one of the things he's learned from his time on the surface is that he's "just the right height to give a human woman a good time".
Now, dwarven girls may well be his favorite, but he wouldn't turn down a human woman if the opportunity arose.
And that's part of my problem with one of the justifications for race gating romances; "people have preferences". Sure, people have preferences. Maybe Cassandra prefers slight elven men to hulking qunari men. That's fine. But someone having preferences doesn't mean that those preferences have to be adamantly set in stone and completely unflexible. Personality goes a long, long way here.
Many at BioWare, including myself, recognize that choice is important. I don't know what the breakdowns of the race restrictions are or how severe, but I can definitely say that orientation choice definitely exists.
Y'all are doing a hell of a lot more than any other developers that I know of. Kudos to you all. 
He was my romance in my first ever playthrough. With a Elf Mage. I didn't harden him. I made him King.
I was mad.
My cousin had told me before hand if I harden him I would be fine even if I didn't play a human (and he strongly recommended going into a romance with Alistair first) So I harden him made him King had a dwarf PC and even though I shouldn't have been I was still surprised that he dumped my dwarf and got mad for her getting mad. I think she had a right to be a little upset after all they just went into the tent for the first time not that long ago xD

Absolutely all I wanted to know. I've picked a not-at-the-top-of-likely-demographics Inquisitor. I've been worried I'd only get one option, I was worried I'd get no option at all, but knowing I've got a choice of two, whoever they turn out to be? Couldn't be happier. I just didn't want an experience where I was actually going backwards from the amount of choice I had in DA2.

but "terrain" can mean a wide variety of things
Not to press the issue of the Mako, which i was never all that broken up over, but im pretty sure the "terrain" complains are referring to the times when those planets were basically a flat Landing Zone surrounded by 90 Degree Spires of rock sticking out of the ground in all directions.

Ah I see like I said its been awhile since I've played especially now that I'm on the PC with it but I can believe him doing all that though he did call all my PCs ugly.
I agree with the preferences thing but I'm feeling a little better knowing I won't be stuck to just one romance option or none still not fond of racegating though since in the DA setting theres really no way to make a character barred off from never being with a PC of a certain race while still making them an LI for other races as well racist for lack of a better term.

Hope this aint took wrong lol, so im guessing the only dwarf companion is Varric, just wandering if there is anyone like me who as in DA:O aint comfortable having my Dwarf Male romance any other race?
No idea who the Advisor's are an for all i know a female dwarf could be there an be a romance option (can hope), but when it comes to choice for the romance this seems to be the only one i can see with not to many options.

Personally I've never had a problem with playing as a dwarf, romancing a member of another race.
I would like a female dwarf romance, but at the same time I wouldn't want said romance restricted to other dwarves.

Well, so far, the only female dwarves we know of in DAI as of now is Artificer Dagna, who I believe is basically like our engineer/technology expert.

Maybe the Inquisitor needs to have a high Con stat so they can handle the IB multiple times.
