... You already have Cassandra... That girl you wanted so much before they reveal she'd be an li. You'd be really livid ?
I would really like Cassandra to be bi, that way she's open to both, but I somehow doubt it.
Bioware seems to have a huge issue with making women who might even be a little bit stereotypicaly gay actually gay, they have to be super straight for some reason, lol.

A good 50% of why I like Garrus and Varric is because they are both very much *not* human. If that's fetishistic, so be it. I do also like their personalities too though.

It wasn't, people are just assuming he is because the idea of a huge Qunari and a dwarf having sex seems ridiculous, lol.

I like a bit of a goatee, but I think the 'stache suits Dorian. I think he would look rather generic without it.
I have no idea why there is no female dwarves in any main BW game. Sure, we got Sigrun in Awakening, but I don't understand why she's the exception. I thought she was a very well written character, especially for an expansion. To be honest, I thought she was a more thought-out character and a lot more fun than Anders in that game. What's funny is that in every fantasy BW game (that has the usual Tolken races,) there has been a male dwarf companion. I'm going through the list and in any main game (non-expansion,) we've had one.
Speaking of which, I'm still hoping that Varric is a LI. Since both Qunari and dwarven romances were considered "fetishy," and it looks like one of them is in, perhaps the Varric fans got fortunate and have him available as a romance.
He'd look like a generically attractive guy without it, but then again, IMO Cullen just looks like a generally attractive guy and that works for him.
I read Sigrun's companion banter on the DA wiki and she seems pretty colourful and generally hilarious - if anything to me it sounds (reads?) like a great deal of her personality is what we see in Varric anyway. If she had been showcased in either DA:O or DA2, IMO, she'd be a fan favourite. Sadly, she got stuck with DA:A.
Re: the fetish comment for dwarves, I seem to recall that they were more geared toward dwarf female LIs than male LIs, but I'm mostly going by really hazy recollection that DG thought female dwarves kind of looked like children, making it super squicky for him.

Garrus and Varric have always been my bros. Not real big fans of their romances, but their friendships suit me just fine.

I'm not knocking your choice of favourites but it seems like Garrus in ME and Varric in DA are almost universally considered the best guys to have around/romance/potentially romance. I like them both well enough but they both seem like your bog standard affable guys with decent (but by no means - to me - amazing) senses of humour.
Garrus was supposed to be funny (as his character thing)? Varric's character seems defined by his humour in a way Garrus is not, so finding Garrus not funny still leaves room for other aspects of who he is whereas Varric doesn't add that much beside the humorous banter.

Sigrun deserved better, that's why I'm going to ressucite her as one of my inquisitors ![]()

Yet this is the developer that brought us Merrill as a romance option.

There's a tweet that can be found through the Scuttlebutt board. It's...highly suggestive. I found it after I'd asked.

The internet may have spoken too soon about the IB as an LI:
@MsJessicaKight @aunicorninspace Well, you can certainly TRY to romance him...

I'd argue the comics flesh him out more, but I really like the "likable rogue" archetype so he can remain that and it works for me.

I don't follow. Merrill acts relatively clueless, but she doesn't look like a child.

Some people think she looks like a kid.
I dont really see that. She looks like, well, an elf.

I'm skeptical those people have seen children before.

Which reminds me, Nathaniel was also meant to be a full blown companion in Dragon Age II, but apparently too many people killed him in Awakening either right off the bat or during the Epilogues (his didn't leave much to the imagination like Anders' and Velanna's) and I guess they felt weird about applying plot armor to yet another party member?
((he was supposed to have Sebastian's spot so that there would be a companion that used bows))

She is skinny and comes off slightly naive about all things not elven, but I wouldn't call her child like.

I don't get why a qunari and a dwarf having sex is so unfathomable. Dwarves are pretty sturdy, so it's not like there'd be any possibility of breaking anything. And aren't they, like, shoulder height to a human? I know actual humans who are shorter than that. I understand why animations might be hard, but it's not inconceivable.

I would have LOVED Nathaniel as a companion in DA2 over Anders, omg, why wasn't that a thing...

I'm normally the lovable rogue in my party so I usually didn't have much need for Varric or Isabela and when I did need a rogue I'd take along Sebastian because... that voice (even if he was more than a bit pious and my Hawke was a heathen ******). I did like how Varric took care of Merrill though. That was pretty sweet. All the Garrus love, I will never understand.

I really hope the reason they give for Iron Bull not wanting a dwarf or even elf Inquisitor they use in game is better than "lol. I'll crush you." because that sounds like the punchline of a very immature/naive joke. But hey, maybe the Iron Bull is immature. His name sure sounds like he's compensating for something.

Because based on the size of most Qunari, I think it's fair to assume their penises are probably larger than humans or Dwarves and it may cause some uncomfortable or painful sex for anyone who isn't also a Qunari.
There, I said what everyone was thinking. You're welcome.
