That FPJ is doing the voice, makes me willing to give Iron Bull a chance as a companion. I wasnt planning to use him, but I will now! Good move Bioware!

 

Nice to know someone feels the opposite of me about this. I'm not being sarcastic I really am glad that so far I seem to be the only person that isn't crazy about FPJ doing Iron Bull's voice. Maybe it'll grow on me but my excitement about Iron Bull has definitely kicked down a few notches now that I know who the voice actor is. Hopefully I'll be surprised and it'll be a lot better than I'm expecting. Given how often I'm wrong I'm sure it will be. Still feeling a big fat meh till then.

Just personal preference is all, I don't feel his voice matches up to how Iron Bull looks also, whenever I hear his voice I think Fred from the Scooby Doo movies and his voice just doesn't appeal to me.

Oh they have a clip of Iron Bull talking? I haven't seen it so I haven't been able to either brace myself or be glad that I was wrong. Had no idea they had something with Iron Bull talking actually ^^;

Theres the video above, and also there was a brief combat video i saw earlier in which you could hear him shout in combat. His voice seems slightly lower then it does in the interview.

 

I actually thought it was the guy who voiced Javik fist time i heard it.

Thanks for the link. Still not crazy about it though not to be overly critical but it just sounds like Fred trying to do an impression of James Bond to me. So still just meh don't hate it just meh.

In the one where they're fighting the dragon? I couldn't make out who was yelling at what time in that video but if its pitched I might not notice it so much. I don't dislike FPJ just every time I hear him my mind goes to Fred from Scooby Doo so it takes me out of it a little but its not a deal breaker just something I'll make myself get used to *shrugs*

I think the description of Iron Bull as being very emotional is supportive of the idea of him being a LI. To me it speaks to him at least having the potential to be about something more than just sex.

It can be direct interactions as part of the "core romance" (whether it be kissing/hugging or other sorts of interaction between the PC and the LI).  There could also be scenes that occur in other places in the game where we have a bias to have your romance come up and talk as opposed to another character because we feel it's fitting.  Just trying to illustrate that it may not just be as simple as "well make it fade to black."  If your LI is distraught, for example, I think it's a better experience if your PC has the option to comfort them in a more appropriate way than just "I stand here and talk to you."

 

First off, has hugging been confirmed? If so, kudos! Secondly, THERE ARE ROMANCE INTERACTIONS OUTSIDE OF SEXY TIME?! Ahem. Bioware, pls. The torture is great. There are still 3.6 months until the release.

 

Ahem. Anyway, thank you very much for explaining this! I had no idea that you wrote the characters before deciding if they were a romance! And I would very much rather have more hetero/bi/homosexual characters than have all romances be bisexual. At least this way I have more choice, and I'm more than happy to experiment the romances with different races/genders! =3 

 

Since IB has practically be confirmed as a romance option, I'm satisfied.

I think knowing what tsundere means has giving the impression that i know about those Japanese tropes.

 

I only know tsundere because its how Miyamoto describes Minda from Twilight Princess.
