Well we'd just have needed a priest present when Morrigan gave the Warden the Ring and you'd basically have a Wedding.

Also do the Dalish marry?

Odd question.  Yes, the Dalish do marry.  In fact, in Origins, there is a little quest in the elf camp where you can get two elves together.  You can get the lady to accept the guy as her bondmate.

I dont remember that at all.

I do, since I romanced her on a guyHawke about 2 months ago.  She mentions that, briefly.

I believe so, yes.

Im sure they have different ceremonies, but im pretty sure a few dalish have mentioned their husbands or wives in game.

I want to be able to get married in one of these games because I don't like sex before marriage but have no choice but to keep doing it. And anyone who you can marry either happens in the Epilogue or in Sebastian's case is a chaste marriage. After a while, headcanon isn't enough. Especially if the LI discusses it in the game.

I can understand that, though in DAO couldn't you choose to not sleep with your LI? I know in DA2 you didn't have that luxury since it was set up in a stupid way of 'Sex now or we're done', I was kind of in the semi hopeful mind set that you could choose not to sleep with your LI if you didn't want to like in DAO.  Though I can understand why you would feel that way. I could see marriage being added in a DA game without much trouble really I couldn't the child thing though since you and your LI would always be in constant danger unless you romanced an NPC I guess.

Oh yeah that was funny my Warden banged her, rubbed it in the kids face and then killed both because he wanted to bang lady forest, suffice to say my Warden is a nympho.

But is bondmate the same as marrying?

Yes, Dalish marry. They call it Bonding or something.

Im just surprised i dont remember. I really like her Romance.

It's been the only time I've romanced her.   It was probably the most sweet and traditionally romantic of all the LI paths in DA2.

I probably won't do that again, unless I roll a male Hawke.  Otherwise, I tend feel like a big sister towards her.  Sera is starting to become much the same, only I don't have an urge to protect her.

Yes.

NPC: "Inquisitor ever been in love?"

Inquisitor Option A: "Yes I have she was amazing."

Inquisitor Option B: "Yes I have he was amazing."

Inquisitor Option C: "No I have not."
Inquisitor Option D: "Mind your own business."

Something along those lines could work don't you think?

You kinda had stuff like that in Origins. Alistair asking you if you've ever "licked a lampost in winter" comes to mind.

It doesn't feel the same thing to me though, and doesn't that only show up with a female warden that he's flirting with? I've only played two male Wardens but I don't recall them having that talk with Alistair. And I just meant that if Bioware ever wanted to do the past love thing having a question like that could please a lot of people that didn't want to be forced to play as a straight PC since they would have the option of saying he or she regardless of their PC's gender.

The marriage thing is odd I agree with that, if your romancing someone who would be willing to get married then I think it should be an option to do so or not.

You'd think a mage who can heal fatal wounds can do an abortion, worst case Stonefist...

My gut is telling me that you've gotten a bj from a hooker in GTA and then run over her to get your money back.

Why not? Plenty of stories with mages has them even able to use magic as a contraceptive.

On this weird train of thought Blood Mages on their period hmm?!

Just stop.  Please.  I'd rather not think about using magic for abortions (which isn't the same as a contraceptive,) and blood magic during a monthly.  Abortion is a touchy subject for a lot of people; a woman on her monthly has nothing to do with the subject.

It's unappealing and frankly, has nothing to do with romances.  Please stay on topic or go elsewhere.

The whole "I'm supposed to preserve who we are, and if we..." is a reference to if they have a child, it will be human.

No, it's not the same thing. But it's similar.

And you get it regardless of gender. it's the same conversation where you find out Alistair is a virgin.

I wasn't the one bringing pregnancies into this. Abortions and periods are very much part of romances as are pregnancies. None of those should be even taboo to talk about...

Hmm never knew that though I never really pressed him about it when playing a male warden or a female warden that wasn't romancing him. Thought he might get whiny with me for bringing it up with him so never tried too.

What happened here?...romance was always a diversion, not the focus. Or maybe that was Mass Effect? Perhaps what separates the two IP's is that Mass Effect, deep down, and for all its faults, is not yet a romance sim.

Carry on.

You were bringing up that as a joke and it is not the same as someone (like myself) who said it might be nice to talk to your LI about kids. Someone asked you to drop it so please drop it.
