Friendzoning is when you like someone as a friend and have no interest in them as a sexual partner.

The dude didn't have friends.

He had like, three, and the girl who "convinced him" it was necessary "friendzoned" him. His perception of reality was not the most human. Still. Nothing wrong with feeling unrequited love, or not giving in to those advances from others, so long as entitlement isn't at play.

His reasoning behind it, though, was that men are being used and that women only "choose" to give sex to a select few, meaning most men wind up with none, so he shot people up. True, the action was horrible, but the mindset behind it was equally wrong.

To be clear- nothing wrong with not being attracted to a person, but there is something wrong with someone somehow feeling other people owe you love/ sex.

Depends. If you date someone there is an implied expectation of sex at some point,it's what makes dating different from hanging out. Some women can be quite manipulative in that respect.Men are equally to blame, unless the person is engaging on a friend level, they should just tell them to take a hike.Chris Rock summed it up well when he did his "dick in a jar" stand-up.

That's different; that's not solely a friendship. Even then, though, if either party says "no," they have that right as individuals. If it bothers you at that point, divorce is legal in many locations.

I don't know if I get so much as a sibling vibe from certain characters, but I do get like this feeling sometimes that the friendship you start building on is too special for a romance, after it gets to a certain point. It happens in reality for me, as well.

I get both sibling and best friend vibes from a lot of characters

lol like Isabela feeling like a best friend and Merrill feeling like a sister. Luckily(?) I ended up without a romance in my first playthrough and in my other playtroughs I just tried to not connect with the characters in that way and try to connect in different ways so I could get some romance stories for Hawke.

I'd really only call all that a bad thing when I do end up naturally wanting a romance with a character but can't cause they aren't an option(for me or for all) so you always end up with the awesome sibling/best friend characters instead.

Is that the person one of the devs says has a mind of a child? Why would someone with the mind of a kid be a follower anyway doesn't that seem like a bad idea?

Someone can be physically attractive yet do nothing for you sexually.

Absolutely. It's just that the post said "attractive to me", which I read as doing something for you sexually.

He's a babbu though. D:

I just want to cuddle him and give him hot milk and cookies and comb his hair and give him new toys and stuff.

Yes, that is Cole.  I don't find his concept and inclusion necessarily problematic in itself, it really depends how he's characterized and fleshed-out in-game.  We've had children-type characters as companions in BioWare games before that were alright, imo, like Wild Flower in Jade Empire.

The mind of a child mostly means he may or may not understand certain aspects of mortal life.

I think/hope he'll be a combination of Justice and Merrill.

I've only played ME and DA from Bioware so I was unaware that there have been children companions in a Bioware game before. I still find it a little odd but for me mind of a child is different than child, but you're right it depends on how they handle him and flesh him out I just hope that don't expect me to know everything about him going in since I don't read the books and really don't have much interests to.

If Cole has the mind of a child, it's just as exploitative to take him on murderous adventures as it is to have sex with him.

We may have had conversations with Wild Flower, but it was the Heavenly Guardian who did all the fighting. There was no eight-year-old girl merrily slaughtering her way through White Lotus assassins.

  No no no no no no Please no! I'm sorry I couldn't stand Justice he creeped me out during DAA non stop and I was expecting him to lose it and turn on me some point int he game. If Cole is like Justice I don't think I'll get along with him very much :(

Spoiler

Well not like I haven't had murders on my team before but the mind of a child thing just adds a lot of creepiness to it I....I'll wait till I meet him in game but I have a feeling I might be creeped out by Cole and probably not use him. Creepy child like people is right up next to puppets on the creepy meter for me

He was sort of murdering before we met him though. He knows he's killing people. He just doesn't necessarily see it as wrong. In Asunder, pretty much all his killings were mercy killings. (In his mind anyway)

Agreed. You don't OWE someone sex. That's just. wrong. and rapey.

An angel who is obsessed/in love with a woman he watched grow up and also slept with her grandmother before she was born?

That he's killed people previously doesn't justify sending him out to kill people. There are child soldiers in the real world who've killed people and some of them are proud of their accomplishments.

That makes it no less wrong for an adult to send a child into a battle.

He either has the psychological traits of an adult or he doesn't. We either view him as a child or we don't. If you believe he can make an informed decision to murder the Inquisitor's enemies then he can make an informed decision to have sex.

It's very romantic when he uses his magic to force her to be happy while he's gone as well

Edit: Though he is usually the victim since she becomes quite a terrible selfish person >>

Why? Fan of the show? Even if you are you gotta admit that's a little creepy and it was strongly implied that he slept with the grandmother during his hippie days xD

BIG fan.

Yeah, it was creepy, but at least they acknowledged it. Piper's always really creeped out whenever he talks about stuff like that. But you can't deny they were very good together.
