I have my preferences on the surface like anyone - Blackwall, Iron Bull - but I also know that could change very easily depending on the character of the individual. Anyone could pique my interest.

Once you get to the bottom of things, physical appearances, specifically the face, (and not including conditioning, which any individual can control) are so pointless in the long run that it's a marvel so many people still cling to the need for that aesthetic quality in a partner. There is a reason divorce rates are high in a lot of places I guess.

There are great people in this world whose faces have been disfigured by everything from fire to bear maulings, but that doesn't diminish them as people. A person's quality is measured by their attitude. From my experience, this is a lot more important to long lasting intimacy and attraction than what's immediately on the surface. One has staying power, the other does not. I might add that your first impression of a person's attractiveness can also change dramatically once you realize the value of the person underneath.

Alas, that is the individuals loss if they can't abide by certain physically characteristics. To each their own.

Woe to the times when you enter your older golden years of life.  Best make sure no baldness runs on your partner's side of the family.   ;)

He is twice as vain as I am. He would be all about the hair plugs. lol

Bullshit.

He sure is doing something there, but I wouldn't call it acting.  ;)

Nah, you want to go with another hair treatment option.  Trust me, hair plugs tend to make guys look like a half-plucked Ken doll.  I really don't mind if a guy is completely bald.  It's the male pattern baldness "horseshoe" look that I think is awful.  I'm not sure if elves in Thedas can get that look, but if so, I'm glad that Solas just keeps his head bald.

My boss got them and they look normal. He says you have to get the micro grafts and not the strip grafts, or else it's really obvious. I think it depends on how far it goes, though. His was receding, but not the full half moon. lol

Iron Bull is easily the least attractive, to me. I mean, I am trying to say this in a way that's as least offensive to anyone that likes his aesthetic as possible, but the thought of being physically intimate with him grosses me out a little. Like, I am totally cool with other people wanting to and I am happy for those that want to if he ends up an LI, but for me it's a big nope nope nope no way.

Blackwall is slightly better, but I'm 21 and I feel like he could be my grandfather. I get that the Inquisitor is not me, but I just can't get out of that mindset, so..

But are you not sexually aroused by Iron Bull's goatee and mustache? :P

Nothing against IB, but I'm not aroused by any part of him.  He'll probably end up on Team Friendship with Varric (if Varric isn't a LI), Sera and Solas.  Those are party members I adore as people, but have little-to-no interest in romancing.

The only facial hair I think is sexy so far among the companions is Dorian.  It helps he really takes care of it and keeps it nice and neat.  ;)

As someone who was recently disfigured (not my face, but extensively enough to be an issue with potential partners), I understand what you're saying. However, people IRL have depths the likes of which a video game can't yet emulate. When it comes to real people, I have a few preferences, but I would never rule out someone with an amazing personality, or a good heart or sense of humor, just because they didn't fit my physical ideal. But in a video game, where they're going occupy a relatively narrow set of tropes and personality traits (not saying this in a disparaging way, it's simply a limitation of the medium), their visual design is a much larger percentage of the overall package. Not to say I wouldn't romance someone who is terrible facewise, but when I approach my options, I tend to go with the character I find most attractive.

I'm also open to change my mind if someone I didn't consider turns out to be a much better character than I initially thought they would be.

Weird I'm 22 and I don't get that vibe from Blackwall at all and I get creeped out (not the best word but the only one I could think of) when men around my father's age hit on me. Wonder why he's not putting that vibe for me must be the beard helps me over look the fact that he may be the same age as my father or older. *shrugs*

Funny - the beard is what puts him in the "definitely not attractive camp". But I loathe facial hair. The most I can tolerate is a days worth of stubble. After that, I have to pull out the razor and shave.

Facial hair isn't really my thing.

I'm making an exception for Dorian.

It can work on some men and some women, for me.  I think bald can be beautiful on any gender.  On Solas, however, I am just not feeling it.   When I see him in screenshots, I just think vulnerable and cold.  Maybe if he had a jaunty hat on...

I haven't found a bald woman that works for me yet. I'm open to suggestions, though.

I always thought that Sinead O'Connor rocked the bald lady look.

Guess I just have a weakness for beards then that and stubble   Though I have no idea when it happened since I used to dislike facial hair on men just changed one day I guess.

Studies show that women are most attracted to 10 day beards. Knowing that it'd be nice if I had the measure of hair growth on my butt on my face and that of my face on my butt instead...

Considering the twitter was during the production of DA:I and it seemed like it was present tense: I suspect that it wasn't referring to Traynor. It's unlikely that he wrote another major character (companion/adviser) but he more than likely wrote several other characters who fit this bill.

Was there a particular tweet I am missing? I am referencing a panel presentation he did and specifically went into the issues of writing a gay character as a straight man.  Depending when this tweet was it very well could have occurred while he was still writing the Sam in the citadel DLC (which he has said allowed him to really flesh out her character).  My guess is that is exactly who he was talking about.

So, interestingly, Sinead doesn't work for me, but the model you posted totally does. Yeah, I think she looks quite beautiful.

If you google "beautiful bald women" there are some amazing models out there.  Plus, personality tastes aside, I also liked Jack's look in ME2, although the shaved head/ponytail combo from ME3 looked even better.

I liked Jack best when she was bald.  Complete knockout in my world.  The outfits... that's a different story.

I do. I very much wish that Morrigan had been a bisexual option.

I can personally understand nixing the magical lesbian pregnancy, but taking away the option for women to be with her? I agree that I very much wish she had been a bisexual option. I've loved a lot of DA's romanceable options over the years, but Morrigan remains my One True Love - and she doesn't love any of my female characters too. T_T

That's me, I'm a helper!

In all sincerity, I hope to see Vivienne without her hat.  After some of the concept art of her without it, I think she looks killer.

Haha, I know, and I'm just futzing with you as well.  I do like goatees and such; I also think Blackwall has a nice beard and it's surprisingly trimmed neatly.

Idk I'd be hard pressed deciding between Morrigan and Liara,

Naw, any girl who is bald isn't beautiful in my eyes. Women at least should have short hair like Cass(unless of illness). i just don't want a girl with hair shorter than mine.
